Has anyone else noticed Hamlin has been talking a lot over the last month? He complains about everything , about other drivers, cars, talking about who he would help, he drives for one team and is 1/2 owner on another. Has he suddenly become special?

Hamlin has always been this way. Nothing is ever his fault. Everyone else is wrong. He complains about everything and everybody. Nothing new here.

Hamlin becoming the villain this late into his career sort of doesn't make sense.

He's been like this basically since 2007-2009ish. For whatever reason, we are now just paying attention.

He's also smarter and more mature and definitely plays into like KB used to.

I think it’s because we lost KFB as a villain. He hasn’t been such a hothead the past 2 years, stopped winning as much as he did 5-10 years ago, and he switched to Chevy which automatically makes less people hate him. Hamlin is easy to dislike for the common fan.

I think it’s been more or at least more noticeable since he became an owner

Denny wasn't getting the attention because it was mostly on both Busch's, Stewart, Joey Logano, Brad K at times. Now those guys are all retired or mellowed out and Hamlin is running his mouth more and more as he's definitely a top 5 active driver as he has been for his entire career.

Kyle was fun to hate when he was the super villain. Denny just seems like a genuinely bad person.

He has a podcast with dirty mo now? So yes, by definition, he has been talking more...

I don't think Kyle was "fun" to hate... it was warranted. He was hated because he was a genuine a**hole, moreso than Hamlin. Smashing the custom guitar in Nashville and almost killing Hornaday at Texas both fit that bill. Hamlin is the one that's more "fun" to hate I think.... 20 years in still making rookie moves he should know better about. I think the only thing you could really hate him on are the many rumors about his personal life but those never gain traction.

I think Kyle Busch was a real villain, Hamlin just saw that role was open as Kyle mellowed out and knew he could leverage it as KB did.

Where did this “KB has mellowed out” and not being a dickhead come from? He’s still a dick. DH has as well when he called out Logano and Brad like they don’t warrant his talent then they go do what he hasn’t. Joey TWICE.
Youre a dick no matter what you drive to me. Harvick was dick in a Chevy and is still one in a Ford.

I like Hamlin more and more every day. I really do....and I would cackle to the point of ignoring myself if he wins this thing.....which he very well could.

The mellowed out thing for KB comes from the fact that he isn't dominant anymore....therefore less people care about what he says or thinks. He is the same driver this year as he has been for a few seasons now. I don't miss the bull****.

His team Is holding him back right now, and some bad luck. If he was with JGR I believe he’d have been on a tear if he was as motivated as he is now. But I don’t see any change in her personality? Immature and entitled as ever…..

Kyle hasn't been "tear worthy" for some time. He doesn't like this car, and it doesn't suit his driving style. He has been quiet because being an ass doesn't fit his resurrection narrative.

He’s nowhere near 2008-2012 Kyle that was crashing guys for wins, retaliating in the minor leagues for incidental contact, and flipping off officials for doing their job.

I've sang that tune for a bit. He's been past his prime since 2020

Been pretty successful in it. Moreso than 97% of the field this year.

I really don’t remember him being a prick to drivers crashing people to win except in retaliation? I’ve actually always thought he was pretty good about racing people the way they race him. Generally being an immature, sanctimonious prick to his team when things don’t go his way is why I don’t like him as a nascar personality.

Are we talking about the same Kyle Busch? There are literally 45 minute long documentaries on YouTube of all his run-ins over the years

I'd agree....and he probably would be okay with retirement if his family wasn't tugging at his wallet. Wonder if his house sold....funny.....family growing.....living near work.....If Poor Richard is paying him what he made at JGR, why would he sell? #EverythingMustGo

I think Samantha wants a bigger place.
No telling, They have another kid, Brexton is racing full time now. With his money they could buy property and put in a practice track. They both are racing the dirt now. The preacher wouldn't allow it. The man is definitely happier now.

I'm glad the gerbils keep showing the chicken$hit move Hamlin pulled on Larson at Kansas, and the gerbils spend 5 minutes alibiing for Hambone after they show it.

Somehow selling a property and making a multi million dollar profit on it is a problem for ol' Rev.
That will add to his over $70M of net worth...but our resident clown can't comprehend logic and facts

I’ll have to look and enjoy. I’ve seen 45 minutes of tantrums by him and his brother but not outright wrecking people for wins unless he felt wronged by them, right or wrong.
