On this day ... April 29

1951: Dale Earnhardt is born on this day, 60 years ago. Earnhardt, who died in a last-lap crash in the 2001 Daytona 500, is one of NASCAR’s greatest drivers. He won seven Cup championships and 76 Cup races and was part of the first group inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010.

Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny the man's influence on the sport we (ok, some of us) all love.

That guy ahead of you in traffic slowing you up? Go ahead, rattle his cage. You have a free pass today.:beerbang:

I doubt he'll be having anymore birthdays, he's been dead for awhile now.

Can we please move the **** on? I mean honestly....the whole Earnhardt (said in a thick Southern drawl) obsession is starting to border on creepy stalkish at this point. What next, Earnhardt's boxers start showing up on Ebay?

60! Dang I'm gettin old. :(

Dale would have retired by now, right? I can't recall the the age of the oldest driver to ever compete in NASCAR. I'm thinking Harry Gant or Dick Trickle. Don't know off the top of my head.

Cup I'd think be when James Hylton tried to qualify for Daytona a few years ago.
