I heard Richard Petty make a quote years ago..when he was still driving....
he felt safer going with with other racers @ 200 plus MPH than driving your local highway @ 55 mph...
guess all of us could handle nascar then : )

That was the story put out. He was running for office and this tale very well could have cost him that election. The guy who claimed he was bumped didn't have any damage to his bumper so I guess the King is just that damn good.
