I need to get back to NOLA one day. It's been 4 or 5 years since I was there. We never did New Year's there but Mardi Gras was great. I miss my Uncle. He lived in Metarie. A burb of NOLA. He'd park his camper on the parade route a couple of weeks before Mardi Gras so we'd have a base to work from. We'd put chairs on top of the camper to be above the crowd and we had a bathroom and kitchen to keep us comfortable.

Wow, that sounds perfect, BP!! Now that's something I could definitely have fun doing, esp. with the comforts. :)

considering i got that song on my mind" aint no place to pee on Mardi Gras day!" lol. at least you won't have that to worry about.:p

We had a good time as we usually do on New Years Eve. We made homemade pizza, as we do every year. The wife and I had a few rum and cokes and we all watched "1408". It's a Steven King movie with John Cusack as the main character. It was a pretty good movie, although I'm sure the Bacardi Gold helped some with the enjoyment of it. All in all, not a crazy night but a fun, safe time was had by all.
