Happy New Year to all. I've been off the forum for a few weeks getting ready for Christmas, family visits and a bonfire and fireworks New Year's Eve party in our front yard.

Yes.

It had been very cold for a few days so the trees were covered with hoar frost. The fire had to be big 'cause it was below zero all night.

The combination of snow on the lake, fire in the sky and on the shore, frost on the trees, and partiers all bundled up in the minus 10 temp, made for a very nice photo opportunity. :)
 
Great photo and those photos at your site are tops...but then of course, you know that! :) The fireworks pic remind me of when I was in North Dakota. Went skiing once when the temp was close to -100 (chill factor) Sobered up real quick! :)

Buckster, Alaska's son and grandkids live in ND (I'm pretty sure).
I went to HS in MA with him and we reconnected thru classmates.com
