Good luck to your favorites, and let's be safe out there, boys! :beerbang:

They listen so well, don't they? Lots of good cars gone now...

David Gilliland just crashed half the field. And what the hell was Hamlin thinking. Caution comes out and he just drives right through those guys. Once he did that, the entire track was blocked.

Poor Junyer. :(

Harvick's out of the race. GO FIGURE

Poor Elliott Sadler. Poor Tony. :(

Ugh.

You think Gilliland was in the wrong? I only saw 1 replay, so I could be wrong, but I thought Sadler came down on him. Was Gilliland cutting under him?
On the radio they say it is a "blind turn" and those drivers couldn't stop in time.

Stewart

Why is it when they stick the mike in front of Smoke he has to say something stupid?

No give and take by anyone. Salder could've backed off and not tried to pass the 40. The 40 could've given and not chopped off Sadler this early in a race. Gilliland could've backed off a little bit. It's all 3 drivers' fault - just a product of racing at Dover. :idunno:

Why was that stupid? He took responsibilty for hitting Elliott while Denny just said basically, not MY fault... uh..other cars were slowing down moron.

Stewart

Guess if he don't feel good being within a half lap of Sadler he should sit at home in his rocking chair. Guess he can go home and spend the rest of the day there anyway.

Stewart actually seems to have mellowed a bit. In the old days he'd have broken something or punched someone after that.
;)

BUT, he put down Elliott by saying "yeah its my falght for even being that close to him, you know something like this will happan when you get with in a 1/2 lap of him"

Denny was hoping the 19 would be gone when he was there, OR watching the 9, OR the spotter was a sleep and did not say anything.

It's easy to drive a car from TV or the stands. Totaly differnt world, so don't judge untell you have straped down and everything.

Anyone see Fox's comparison of DW and Kyle Busch? He is DW's new golden boy (sorry Jr.)...

That's what I think, but then I like him. I would have thought he would have been steaming mad!

For once I agree with Darrell Waltrip. That was Joe Nemecheck's fault. For someone who was talking **** three years ago about Harvick should be fired and all that, all he's done is wreck racecars.

Ah, I see what you're saying. I didn't "get" that he would be putting down Elliott, just that he felt bad what happened to him.

And yep, so easy to be an "expert" from the sidelines. I was an EXPERT at raising kids until I had them. ;) :D

Gilliland's front bumper is getting used up today. He took a g.d. cheap shot at Montoya on the last restart. I can't wait for Montoya to get back up there either, Gilliland's a marked target.

I see Mayfield's in the 40 car. That explains the lap 16 crash and why he chopped Sadler off. If Mayfield's on the track, there's going to be a wreck or two around him.

He sure is and has been all year.
SPEED was defending him when he stayed on the track when NASCAR black flagged him and then drove down pit road backwards while everyone was coming in. SPEED said, "That was great driving there by Kyle Busch."

Great driving by everyone else to miss him, not by Kyle.

I'm sick of this Kyle Busch can do no wrong attitude the FOX networks have. He's a bonehead, plain and simple.

It's hard for me to believe the season is 1/3 over...I recall waiting for Daytona in the off season and now we're 1/3 done--crazy!

I don't think Mayfield is any worse than a few others out there.
He's had some bad breaks that has made his mistakes more obvious. :D

Jeremy Mayfield.

This should explain everything. Horrible driver.

He was a Chase contender for a few years running until he criticized Ray Evernham for being distracted by *ahem* outside interests and losing focus on his race teams and ended up losing his job over it. Sadler hasn't exactly been a ball of fire in the same car since.

Kyle Busch wins at Dover.

I guess he's immune to karma.

FOX went on for 30 laps about how Kyle Busch is the greatest thing to step into a stock car and about how he's matured as a person.

NASCAR on TNT next weekend. :beerbang:

Good riddance FOX and Digger. :beerbang:

Was a good top five, I like Kyle (obviously) and the Roush boys to and have respect for the hard work that Gordons team has been doing to get compeditive. I just can't figure out where they lost it from last year. Duane

I agree w/you about Gordon. I can't figure out how they got so bad either. At least they're starting to go in the right direction.

I wish Carl would have won. Would have helped my fantasy points, esp. since I had Elliott and Kasey also and we all know where THAT got me. LOL

Kyle can drive for sure. But them saying he's gotten so mature this year was pretty laughable.

Oh...and I take back what I said about Smoke's interview. I watched it again and he was definitely dissing Elliott. I still think that's an improvement though from when he would have been throwing and kicking things and getting himself in trouble with the interview and called to the principal's office. LOL He's learned to play the game and say what he wants w/o getting fined.;)

I've got a question concerning Jr.
I forgot to record the race so I'm going off of memory. How is it that Jr. took the green flag with the rest of the field after the red flag but was 10 or so laps down? How did Jr. lose laps under the red? ( I did have a few recreational beverages, so that may have affected my memory).

They were in the pit making repairs. His splitter was dragging the ground.

The race doesn't go from green to red to green....there was a yellow for a while
