Once in awhile, when I'm free of committments, I'd like to go onto the internet and dig up crap from a few sites, sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, sometimes funny and tragic, and sometimes just plain wrong. Well, without further delay, let's take a look at that dug up crap.
Naked driver hijacks school bus after hitting it

DORAVILLE, Ga. - A naked man hijacked a school bus to flee from police after he crashed his vehicle into the bus, police said.
The man, who had not been identified by police as of Thursday, stole the bus as officers arrived at the accident scene, police said. He made a U-turn and led officers on a slow-speed chase into oncoming traffic, said police Capt. C.D. Atkinson.
Two truck drivers - driving a concrete pumper truck and a tractor trailer - eventually blocked the bus' path, according to a police report.
"They cornered him, pinned him up against the retaining wall," Atkinson said.
The driver was naked when police arrested him. He had suffered a few scrapes and was taken to a hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation.
Atkinson said charges are pending. Police Chief John King said the man spat at emergency medical technicians, which could warrant charges if he has any communicable diseases.
The bus driver had not yet picked up the children to take them to private Atlanta International School.

Woman hits bus twice, flees, dies later in crash

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - A woman with a history of mental problems rear-ended a school bus twice and fled, then was killed in a head-on collision minutes later, authorities said.
Lori A. Steele, 35, died Monday when her car flipped and she was thrown from the vehicle, Bay County Deputy Tom Ehlers said.
Steele was pulled over earlier Monday after she rear-ended a school bus. No children were on the bus and nobody was injured. She then struck the bus again and drove away at 90 mph, police said.
In the collision a few minutes later, the driver of the other car suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
Steele had been committed three times since August under the Baker Act, which allows police to take custody of people they believe might harm themselves, Gulf County Sheriff's Maj. Joe Nugent said.
Authorities also said Steele's apartment had flooded Monday morning and her apartment manager had called police, but Steele fled before deputies arrived.
Ehlers said that when he pulled Steele over, he had noticed that she had a three turtles in her car, one on her lap. One turtle died in the collision and the other two weren't found, authorities said.

Cat falls 14 stories - lives to meow about it
Canadian Press

HALIFAX - A cat named Jagger may have strayed too far when it jumped out the 14th floor window of an apartment building.
Musician Rocky Boudreau found his 8-month-old marmalade cat - named after Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger - wandering around the base of his building Tuesday after the cat tempted the hand of fate by hopping out an open window.
"He tumbled down 14 and lived to meow about it," Boudreau said after taking the cat to a veterinarian's office for a quick check-up.
"Jagger was always like a daredevil kind of cat. He was always into stuff and on top of stuff. You could never stop him."
Boudreau was in the process of moving from one apartment to another nearby building when Jagger made like Jumping Jack Flash.
"I was moving all my stuff and I could tell that the cat didn't like it that he had nothing to hide under."
It's difficult not have to have some sympathy for the (feline) devil, who was left alone all night during the move.
"I forgot my window was open," Boudreau said.
After walking into his old apartment and opening a can of cat food, Boudreau was surprised Jagger didn't come running. Then he noticed the open window.
"If he wasn't an indoor-outdoor cat before today, he is now."
Boudreau used a two-way radio to call his boss, who was just outside the building, asking if he could spot Jagger. Sure enough, they found the cat on the concrete below.
"When he saw me, he was just meowing. I just picked him up in my arms and we took him to the animal hospital."
A veterinary technician said Jagger looked perfectly fine after his fall.
"Nothing seems to be broken," said Boudreau.
At the vet's office, Jagger was strutting around, meowing and purring like his rockstar namesake.
"I'm going to keep him for a couple of extra days to nurse him back to health and then I'm just going to give him away."
Cats often survive leaps from tall apartment buildings because they have time to set up for a good landing. Vets have dubbed the phenomenon highrise syndrome.
Before the big jump, Boudreau had already found another owner for Jagger because his new roommate is allergic to cats.
"Hopefully the cat will recover well enough to go on to his new home," he said.
"The way I see it, the poor little guy is not in the clear yet."
