I don't think there are any "mind games' going on. Just about everyone who has raced Larson hard has said its blast, including Gordon.I think JJ has enjoyed it more than Larson has. JJ's mind games are already beginning....
Disagree. There is a bit of a rivalry developing between the two, there was another instance of both guys having a run in with each other. Indy was the most recent example. and Gordon hasnt been on track since 2016 so thats irrelevant for this season IMO.I don't think there are any "mind games' going on. Of course but it's not like Kyle didn't say those things about JJ. It's not a full blown rivalry but the makings for it are there, not trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill but just something to watch for in the future. I'd be happy with a Johnson vs Larson title fightTBF the editors of the radioactive do their best to stir the pot
Gordon and Earnhart were actually friends/business partners. The media turned it into a rivalry. This just shows how bad we need a top rivalry in NASCAR these days. Petty/Pearson, Earhnardt/Waltrip, Gordon/Earnhardt all made the sport what it is.

Stewart v Gordon on the road course...that was a rivalry. And, BTW, some of the best racing we'll ever see.The fans turned it into a rivalry.

Most rivalries in any sport really are media generated which are good for the sport, it gets people talking. I disagree with what you're saying I believe if it comes down to Johnson vs Larson, we'll see how friendly the two are then. I've been watching racing my whole life and I don't think that huge block by JJ at Indy will be forgotten when JJ needs slack given in a race or maybe extra room won't be given. Like I posted before it's not a full blown rivalry by any stretch but I don't think Kyle will move on or forget that easy.If there is any rivalry, it is media generated. That incident at Indy was only because Johnson blocked him heavily and Larson was naturally pissed off. But I guarantee you he has moved on from that, probably after a couple of laps. If there is a rivalry, it's one sided. I've seen Larson race long enough to know he doesn't hold grudges. He should be more upset with Ty Dillon for running him into the fence and wrecking him.
Gordon is not irrelevant to my point that several drivers have commented they have fun racing him because he races hard and never gives up. Doesn't matter which year we are talking about.
What rivalry? He blows past everyoneKyle Busch vs. whoever is racing him too hard on a given day is usually the rivalry these days.
LOL........Then chokes...... I will admit he got lucky 1 time this year so far.......What rivalry? He blows past everyone
