I am a open-wheel fan and not always fond of the roundy-round series like NASCAR and I especially do not like watching dirt track racing on TV but going there in person is sooooo different. If you are ever in southern Michigan or northern Indiana you need to check this little gem out. For a small amount of coin ($10-$20) you get a lot of entertainment. If there is nothing on track then watching all the rednecks is quite fun.
Last night they had the IRA sprints there and the top drivers were clocking in 16.5 second qualification times on the 9/16 mile track. That's 123 mph average.
Safety glasses and hearing protection are definitely recommended.
