Harvick and Montoya take their feud to radio
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On his own show, The Juan Pablo Montoya Report, Montoya called out Harvick for his well known hot headedness. "I'm not as passionate as Kevin is, I guess," Montoya said. "I'm a lot more chill. I don't know how long he's been racing for but I'm a little bit more chill about things than him, I guess." Montoya said things got personal as the two drivers exchanged words on the track after their wreck. "Yeah, the thing is when he starts…I'm not even going to say all the things he told me," Montoya said. "I don't think it's got anything to do with the racing actually. You know, when somebody disrespects you personally then you do have an issue. I mean, you've just got to stand up for yourself and that's it. ". . . You don't want to be on SportsCenter for things like that but I'm pretty happy with the way I behaved myself. I think I controlled myself pretty good so from that point of view I got to say I'm pretty happy. You know, I was pissed off at the time. I actually got out of the car and said, ‘Dude, it wasn't even my fault. I got hit from behind. What do you want me to say?' And, I don't know, he started screaming and saying things. Then it becomes personal." As he did immediately after the race, Harvick continued to call out Montoya's driving tactics throughout the season 2007 season during an appearance Monday on Tony Stewart live on Sirius. "It just makes me mad because you have to deal with the guy every week whether it's him just blastingKevin_harvick in there on a restart, he doesn't care about anybody who races in the series," Harvick said. -- Hartford Courant
