Has anyone heard from Guido lately. I know he was planning his escape route the other day. Think he picked the right one? :p

Hope everyone has the seatbelts pulled tight, sounds like it's a good one coming in! VA already has power out--sure glad KY is not near the ocean

sg, Guido was on today. I think that everything will be fine. He was ready to rock and roll north and west if it was to get too terribly bad. Haven't seen an update from him, but I did notice he was online today. I'm pretty sure that he was out of harms way by this morning.

Yes he was on earlier. He had a plan to go to PA I do believe I hope he is out of harms way.

The football game on ESPN right now is being played in Virginia, 1.5 in. of rain and wind gust of 35 to 40 mph since the game began.

Thanks folks! I appreciate everyone's concern.

It started raining in the Wilmington area around 2 PM and the stronger wind and rain came in around 6 PM. So far, the highest wind recorded in this area was 49 and Dover got about a 55. The rain comes in bands but it really isn't that bad. Something like a tropical rainstorm in Florida.

We parked all of the trucks along side each other in the motel parking lot. I am talking about the 53' display units...... 2 for Army, 1 Viagra, 1 Stacker2 and another supply truck. My showcar rig is alongside the Viagra show rig. Fortunately we have a large lot here so we are able to protect the sides of the rigs by lining them up like they do in the garage area.

Spent the day in the motel other than going out for lunch with some of the other folks. There are some localized parties going on in various hotel rooms. Even had a chance to see one of the Busch drivers in the elevator. He was enroute to joining one of the informal parties that was being held in an associates room. :D

I look for this storm to blow out rather quickly. I'll be looking to get my rig to the track tomorrow and then I guess I'll be helping our group with setting up some of the displays, seeing that I don't have any shows tomorrow.

I look for Saturday and Sunday to be days with nice racing weather. I'm supposed to do a pre-race parade lap in the showcar around 11 AM on Sunday and then I pack up and either head home for one night or just go on to Talladega.

Anyway, everything looks like it will be OK here. Don't know how much standing water they may have at Dover Downs but I guess we will find out tomorrow.

Glad you are doing o.k. Guido, but you better sleep with one eye open though.

Just a correction..... the local news said that the highest wind gust recorded in Dover was 52 MPH.

All-in-all, this area was rather lucky. Just a flood watch until midnight but otherwise not bad at all.

I'm getting as much sleep as possible. Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Glad to see your having a good time :p Try not to work too hard for the race and keep an eye out for my man DJ! :)

OH-Kay..... I gotta make a note of all these dates. :D

Took my trailer to Dover Downs this afternoon and got in about 2:30 before the big crush. We were hanging a huge banner in the stands for Saturday's race and I watched the parade of WC haulers come in at 5PM.

Left the track at 6:30 PM and there was a 2 mile backup of campers and motorhomes trying to get into the place. Glad I wasn't part that mess.

Got to get up at 4 AM Saturday so I can leave by 5AM and get there before 6AM. I expect that the traffic will be bad tomorrow too because of the schedule changes and late arrivals.

Wow....and Bowtie thought I was busy.Dates, dates, and more dates!Man are you a lucky guy! ;) (Whats your secret, man?)
