Has JGR Lost a Step?

Frankly it’s their driver roster. Outside of Bell and Hamlin, the other two have underachieved all year. You have just two drivers that are threats to win each week when JGR are up to speed, maybe help is on the way with Briscoe
 
Thank you so much for starting this thread one week before the Championship. Love this. I've said it before, and I will say it now.....one could use the winning metric and argue that this is the most important measure, and yeah, that is correct. However, I have been a Toyota fan for a long time. I remember 2014. WE didn't win, and WE didn't deserve to. WE were slow. So, go ahead with the no win drama, and then, when you want to be serious about this, take a look at speed, laps lead, and qualifying. I love our performance.

WE suck. Horrible.You are right. Frankly, I'd be more concerned about the Chain Gang's chances if I were in your shoes, but you do you.

I agree. He must have missed that tear jerking post about how all of the fans like Kyle now, and his fatherhood. I am still wiping the tears away. You ready for that KB prize pack? Do they still offer that, or did they "right size" that too?

Well, I knew you were busy and all. The gerbils haven't mentioned it either, must have slipped their minds. But you know amid all of the hoop la about the playoffs, cut lines, elimination rounds and all in this win and YOU are in world. Briscoe? he's not going to save ol' Joe.

Put the pipe down Rev. The only reason for yotas is the lottery. They haven't won fair and square in years. This year would be no different.

I am not as confident as you are scared....but you have insulated yourself with your year long rant about the system. Pick a system. A Toyota is there. Wins? Reddick did that. Points? I gotcha a Bell. For you? Spins? Getcha a KFB. Skipping races? Well, hello Larsony. Cheating? Ooops, the 48 is out all of sudden. Overrated all to hell? Gimmie a #9 for an also ran.....and you have yourself a Dale Jarrett with the 4 Inmates for the Championship 4 **** as soon as the Playoffs began.

Maybe the Yotas can break their three win championship tie overall with the Hudsons. Oh my, that would be a banner day wouldn't it?

I wonder how many championships Denny would have under the Chase for the Cup format. Talent is definitely not the issue; he has more wins than Tony Stewart.

He definitely surpassed Mark Martin as the greatest driver to not win a title.

100% on this....and this is why I love the format. 100%. That goes for the teams and crews too. So incredible to be in the presence of that kind of intensity in Phoenix....where there is access to the cars, the teams, and the crews. I don't need access to the drivers...I just want to see them drive.

The beauty of this system is that Denny has an opportunity to achieve greatness today. His best track. From the back. All on the line. Champions respond like Champions. We shall see.

A Denny Hamlin championship would be a feel-good story. Even people that dislike him can't deny that.

14 years ago in the fall Hamlin had his last win at Martinsville. His best track? I would hate to see his worst.
