wish they would stop..............
I grew up in Florida and went thur worse then this, probably why I don't like them...........:(
 
You might want to tell everyone that we've been having wind gusts of about 70 mph today and last night! A very usual Santa Ana event in Southern California........should be gone by tomorrow.

I hope not too..we have a big gigantic one out front.........and several around the house...........scary...guess that is what worries me the most.........just be glad when all this is over with.........:(
 
Don't y'all go thru Santa Ana winds about every year, but at a different time?

oh yes........but they are saying these are the worst in over 20 or 30 years now..HATE IT...........hope your daughter is ok Kat.............
 
Don't those winds usually come more often during early fall and forest fire season?...I'll do a search :)

Daughter is at work in a hospital as I type, so I'm sure she is ok.

I think so, not sure really..........just don't like them at all.......

thats good, glad your daughter is ok, she is probably used to all this, I can never get used to it..........guess it is a childhood thing with me.........with the hurricanes in florida...:(
 
I have been thru some severe hurricanes when I lived in New England, and so have my kids. Floods, winds that toppled trees, etc.

Also been thru 2 tornados since I moved to GA in '94.

We should just stop fooling with Mother Nature!
