i thought they were going to try to make some races next year, any word on that?

BH Motorsports with sponsorship from the Naitonal Guard has attempted three WC events this season with Ron Hornaday at the wheel. Those were Charlotte, Atlanta and Rockingham, unfortunately they have not been able to make the starting field having DNQ'd all those races. Weather was a factor with qualifying rained out at Charlotte and Atlanta.

The team did field a car in the ARCA event at Charlotte where Ron Hornaday finished second in the car.

The team is now searching for candidates to begin the development program next year with plans to run some ARCA events and possibly some CTS events. Don't know if they plan to run any BGN or WC events at this point.

Haven't seen any announcements of potential drivers or a more definite schedule.

The hispanic owned team is racin this weekend in the BGN rac ewith Carlos Contraez in the car. Was to be Ruberto Gurero but for some reason he could not drive this weekend.

RACE has no business in RACING! If you are good enough, no one will turn you down because of the color of your skin.

I wouldn't care if Johnnie Cochran owned a team and let Rodney King drive for him! If he can cut the mustard, who is to bitch? Certainly not I.:satisfied

Using RACE as an excuse equals "no talent"

GordonFan,

It's a known fact that NASCAR fans don't take well to anyone that isn't white.

There are drivers that try to get in because they are good enough, look at Hideo.

We see how much the bigots in the stands loved Hideo, from what I heard if you were there you couldn't even hear yourself think over the boos.

It's a sad fact, but people that aren't white have to resort to these tactics to get into NASCAR given the reputation NASCAR fans have.

Going at it like this, they get blamed like you did above. Going it alone, like Hideo is, they still get blamed. Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

foreign or non white drivers would get less of a fan base then the other drivers, and the sponsers know it.

Theres also still alot of men out there that don't wanna see female drivers in wc.

It really is a shame that this is still around in NASCAR. I know there have been many attempts to it, but nothing consistent. Everyone hated Jackie Robinson when he broke into MLB, but that didn't stop him. Regardless of whether the fans like it or not the owner and the sponsor have to be their for the driver and keep them in the ride.
