I've been to South Africa a few times, I have family there. I've also been to Japan because I was born there :p

I know, but its worth mentioning, Alaska is perhaps the most breathtaking place I have been too, plan to go back someday.
France, honestly didn't care for the people of paris much, the buildings were great to see with your eyes, they got different tastes over there, small everything, room temp milk and cheese and well everything else. Not once did I see a "French Fry" or a peice of "French Toast", lol. Got a whole lot better outside of paris, in hill country where all the vineyards are at, sipping champaign in a hot tub, awww yea. But the best place we visited there was the D-day beaches, the people in those parts worship americans, it was a one of a kind feel to be in a german bunker and see what they went though.
Switzerland was chocolate, watches, and rich people, the place is great. Saw a ferrari 550 stoped at a light and I took a picture of that beauty, the driver prolly thought I was a freak.
Thats all really, stepped into italy, flew out of germany, but that doesn't really count.
:)

NateDogg, I spent a week in Paris my first trip over. It was at their bicentennial celebration. The city was spotless and the people I met were wonderful ---- even if I did fracture the French language unmercifully.

And you are so right about the countryside ---- French country cooking is the greatest. I would love to go back and find the little bakery where I got the most delicious apricot tarts in the world.

mabey I ust got on the wrong foot :) yeah for such a old city it was clean, they run water through the streets at night to clean them. Even with 2 years of french I found myself pointing a lot, hehe, and though I thought that they portions of food could have been bigger, lol, they were tasty, but not as tasty as their pastries, mmm mmm good :D

I lived in Turkey for two years. That place has so much history and so much culture that it is amazing. I wouldn't recommend going right now, but I lived there during the late 80s and it was great. I was little but I remember so much. The Agean Sea that is so clear and gorgeous, the ruins such as Alexander's castle and the City of Troy, the culture, my neighbours, some Turkish, and just a feeling that America is great, but living in another country for a while is a real experience.

I have also visited Greece, France, Switzerland, Germany, and of course Canada. All are great countries even though I didn't really get a good chance to go around in Greece, France, and Switzerland. I was actually in Germany before the wall came down, it came down in Nov 89 and I was there sometime in the summer.
