Oh, yeah. After seeing what the kid's leg looked like after just the few seconds the dog had it in his mouth before the cat got there, I'm afraid to know what that thing would have done to the rest of the boy.
That cat wasn't taking any crap from that dog when it came to her kid. She knew that if that dog got a hold of her she was toast, but she also knew that speed and sharp claws are a hell of a combination when used properly.

Love that the cat chases the dog out of the yard....

It's awesome that the cat simply chased the dog out of the yard, then once it realized the dog was going to keep running, the cat stopped and returned to check on the kid.
