Daryn Pittman driving the #27 Heffner sprint, is doing a great job with three more in the win column! It would be nice if Pittman and Heffner Racing with associate sponsor Scrub-A-Dub Performance Car wash could bring home a win every week but who's complaining. Pittman's talent and the preparation of the sprint car prove they are a factor every race and a threat to win. Pittman's record is admirable considering his finishes out of the top ten are extremely limited and his finishes in the top five substantially more plentiful.

What started as a good night of racing at teh Kings Royal WoO event at Eldora ended with a crash involving several sprints.

Daryn Pittman ran the second fastest time of all contenders and finished 2 in his heat race. In the "A" Main, Pittmann was coming through the pack when unfortunately, Joey Saldana wrecked and Pittman got caught up in it, finishing 23rd.

Although these sprint cars produce some spectacular spins, flips and low altitude short flights, rarely does anyone get hurt. Sadly,Joey Saldana suffered a badly broken arm.
Not sure how long he will be out of the series as Saldana is a strong competitor and all around nice guy. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Joey.

July 22 and 23rd, Heffner Racing and Daryn Pittmann will compete in the "Summer Nationals," against the WoO and regulars from the famous Pennsylvania Posse at Williams Grove, PA.
Pittmann and Heffner Racing next stop,

And not juust any broken arm, more like shattered. I think it took 32 screws to put it back, and he also had a rib go into his lung.

I thought Hodnett was posse.

Daryn Pittmann finishes 13th in feature race with WoO held July 23 at Williams Grove. Pittmann finished 3rd in the previous evenings race.

Kasey Khane had one of those spectacular airborne thrill displays sprint cars take periodically. This low altitude flight was a little longer in distance than some.

Luckily, Khane suffered no injury.

Just wondering how many saw the delayed broadcast of Knoxville on Speed at noon, Sunday? Pittman was running second for the better part of the race and screwed up two or three times losing split seconds. He ended up fifth and during the post race interview, admitted his errors. Darn good show and looking forward to a trip north to see a few races before the snow flies.
