don't you just hate it when people call YOU.......and ask who this is.........that drives me nuts..........they call and ask who you are........I don't identify myself to people who ask who is this? how rude..............just got such a call and had to make a thread........:) and it was a wrong number to by the way.......:(
 
i like to have fun with those people. i just say you called me, whom am i speaking with? this is the headquarters of the fbi and this call is being traced:p

well at least we are not getting anymore hangup calls, harrassing annoying calls (same person) and that same person threatening to kill me on the phone........from a couple of years ago...this person is a deranged sick woman that should be in jail........but our number is changed and she can't make anymore threatening phone calls to me.......

boy, maybe i should have sued her for harrassing me......:rolleyes: well if this creep knows whats good for her, she will mind her own business.......:satisfied
 
When I get the "who is this" on the other end, I always ask,
in my best English teacher's voice, "To whom did you wish to speak?" Usually there is total silence on the other end of the line.

I think it's the "to whom" that gets them. hehehe

But, Cutiepie, we have caller id.............you sometimes do know who they are!!:D

not when they have a block.............and it comes up private name, private number or unknown.........would have loved to have had caller ID a couple of years ago when that harrassing little witch was making all those annoying phone calls......boy I would have nailed her A** to the ground too.,

I usually say, I don't know who I am why don't you tell me. Or something snotty like the Queen of England, who did you think it was? And just once I told the person calling, an annoying person I didn't want to talk to, I can't tell you my name, cause then I would have to kill you. Got him to hang up and never call again.

People usually don't call back then. lol. Evil me.
 
I usually say, "May I ask who you were calling?", but if it's late I just make some smart azz remark like "You called me, don't you know?"

I also do NOT like people who call and say "Hi Kat, what's up?" and do not identify themselves, like I'm supposed to recognize every voice that calls from a cell, blocked, unavailable, pay phone or private #.

How about "You have reached the Psychic Hotline and if you hang up now you will not be charged $5 per minute for this call."
