Missed part of the race yesterday it has been so bad. We're in a lull right now, expecting more storm this afternoon and tonight.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Hope everyone is having a better Monday than I am. LOL

I'm praying for the rain to stop TRL! We've had enough rain up here in the DFW metroplex and I KNOW you have had more than your share down Houston way. My sis lives in Pearland, so I get updates from her on the rain situation. Hope the floods stay away from you!

For some reason the lightning has been intense around here this weekend. The lights will blink out for a few seconds at a time. The phone lines have had such heavy static on them that connecting to the net has been difficult at best.

Can't watch the satellite because of the heavy cloud cover and rain.

:p

Sorry to hear it TRL, seems a little strange for this time of year.

We're still raining too, but nothing like Houston.

No grass cutting today, I guess. It must be knee deep at this point.

Please stay safe.

This weather has been just freaking unbelievable. We're almost 11 inches ahead of average rainfall, now. This summer we were almost 10 inches behind.

I'm looking into building an ark in my backyard.

I'm wondering if El Nino is behind all this stuff coming from the Pacific.

Just send that rains this way. We need it. We get maybe a few inches a year. No wonder everything is so dead around here.

Yup, El Nino. I read somewhere that it's stong again this year.

We've also had record rainfall. Everything is soaked and then yesterday a 7.9 earthquake in the unpopulated middle of the state shook us like a big wet dog. Not much structural damage except to highways.

I hope things dry out for you sometime soon. At least here we know that freezeup is coming. Snow is a lot more fun than rain and mud. :)

NOAA Map on El Nino attached below and it's today's map!

Alaska, I heard about the quake. Was wondering if you came through OK. The thought of the ground shaking without warning scares me to pieces.

Thanks for the map, kat. At least now I know what's causing the misery. :p

TRL, you can quit sending it up here.:) The weatherman said flash floods tonight.:( It has been raining since Fri. with heavy rain tonight.
I think we can make some money by sending TRL everywhere that needs rain. Every race she went to this year they had rain.:( :p :D We could make a fortune.

TRL, I heard HOUSTON is TexMex for Venice.

Break out the gondola.

:) :) :) :p :p

Had heavy rain overnight. I could use an airboat in my backyard. LOL

Tab, you are so right about the rain following me. I did get to Richmond without the rain, though. LOL

TRL, I understand what you are going through. Yet again today it is rainy and overcast. ughhhh It needs to stop.

TRL, well maybe it's over for a while at least. Here in North Texas, out of the last 18 days, we had 15 days of rain and one day of sunshine. WOOHOO the sun is shining today!!! and supposed to through the weekend (at least I hope!):D
