I have:
Microsoft XP Pro
5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
System Type: x86-Based PC
Processor: x86 Family 15 Model 47 Stepping 2 Authentic AMD ~1989 Mhz
Bios Version: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 3.14 1/17/2006
SMBIOS Version: 2.4
Total Physical Memory: 512.00 MB
Available Physical Memory: 190.70 MB
Total Virtual Memory: 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory: 1.96 GB
Graphic Card: ATI Raideon Xpress 200 Series

What happens is after I load the game and open it, the game runs fine for about 30 seconds. then all of the sudden the frame rate goes crazy. the cars look like their doing 300 MPH. I have the graphics turned wide open and the Graphics are great. But the Frame Rate is crazy. Has anyone had this problem before. And the same thing happens to my Nascar Racing 4 game on this computer so im thinking its my System.

Thank You
Helton

First guess would be the 512 megs of ram.. I run at least a gig and if I was running those games 2 gigs would be in my computer.

I think we need a NEW category just for Tech questions and feedback. Whaddya think Sam?

^^ ditto

I have a 2.8 ghz processor, 1.5 gigs of ram, and 256 megs of video ram and on my FIA gtr game, I had 59 Formula 1 cars going fine. Although 103 was a little squirley.

2 gigs mean nothing to thoes games, 1 gig max is all you will need. I played both thoes on my old system with a p4 2.4, 512 ram, Nivdea 4400 GFX card.the games worked great. I'm not familiar with the Graphics card you have, Xpress 200, altho it sounds like it's built into the mother board...Not the best things for games. I would go with more RAM for sure. 1 GIG. and if the RAM doesn't fix the problem, see if you computer has a PCI express slot or an AGP slot for a seperate GFX card. After reading your post again I see you have 512 MB RAM, but your system is using a lot of it. Be sure you go down to your clock and exit out of all the Junk that may be running. I would also turn of system restore while playing any games.

start > run > msconfig > startup: Uncheck all the uneccesary crap that may be there.
