Helton Elevated

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR has elevated Mike Helton from president to vice chairman and added chief operating officer Brent Dewar to its board of directors.

He will also work closely with chairman Brian France on long-term strategic planning and will represent NASCAR in various roles to help grow the sport.

I still call him Brian's 'yes' man idiot......... right in front of Pemberton....... I bet Pemberton can't wait until Helton retires so he can move up to the number 2 spot....... I bet Helton and Pemberton try to beat each other to Brian's mailbox every morning to get the mail and hand deliver it and then ask if his shoes need to be shined and his cars washed...... The 3 of them make my ass wanna' chew tobacco!!!!!!!!! (Old Southern sayin')......... LOL......

I chewed for years........................ it didnt help the way I felt about Brian

I like Mike , he's the last of the old school racing execs . The rest are all from New York City with umpteen marketing degrees and no racing knowledge . I credit Mike for the fact that they are still racing in a circle and not a figure eight .
