I think after last week and then after seeing the practice sheet after this morning its clear to me HMS engines have an HP edge. If you watched the race at pocono it showed IMO that the HMS engines are out muscling the yotas. The advantage with the gibbs cars I think is handling.

The Ford and Chevy teams are catching up to the Gibbs/Toyota teams now.

Heading to some good Kyle tracks with Sonoma and Kentucky coming up. Indianapolis, Watkins Glen, Bristol and Richmond after that.

I honestly think the 18 team has mailed it in for the rest of the regular season. You don't just go from running top 5 to 20th that quickly unless you're testing out a bunch of new stuff.

He's still running top 5, he's just wrecking out of races every week.

Same thing Johnson's team has done for the past decade.

I don't know that Kyle's ego would allow for them to just mail it in.

You saw how bunched up his purple thong got just from being raced "hard" by Chase last week.

Notice I didn't say Kyle Busch was mailing it in, I said the 18 team.

They took away the yaw. They'll be ok.

They're not "mailing it in" but they are for sure testing different set ups then the other Toyota guys. Adam Stevens admitted as much after Charlotte. That doesn't mean he won't be in contention for some wins but some weeks those different set ups are gonna bite them.

What if they happen to test something that works

Awe man...I was hoping for another summer of "Hendricks is cheatin and Jimmy Johnson is a cheater and my cousin/wifes friends brother nos a guy who told him Hendricks pays Brain Franse to let em cheat!"

I wonder where the horsepower conclusion came from, or what data supported it? From the TV broadcast, there isn't much sophisticated data analysis. It seemed to me that the 48 (fastest HMS powered car) consistently had superior mid-corner speed. That comes from handling, not power.

Horsepower is fine, but with the rule changes the handling advantage has gone away. Don't worry, my TRD guys are on it. We will be fine. "Handling flatters horsepower."--David Wilson, President, TRD

Looked to me like the fastest HMS car was the 24
