But I think Roush didn't do so bad with this Carl Edwards either. Say what you will, the kid has guts. He has been pulling off some pretty Busch-worthy moves lately. :beerbang: :beerbang: I like him and my buddy Pooky informed me he is Ken Schrader's cousin...which I didn't know.

But you are correct about Carl, he is the real deal. In fack I think Jack came out way ahead on this one. :beerbang:
 
Carl is an awesome young man with an awesome career ahead of him.

I must be sheltered too .... LOL .... I had no idea Carl and Kenny were cousins. I learned something new today !!!!! LOL !!!
 
Bet there are a lot of us sheltered people. Didn't know Carl was Kenny's cousin. But news don't get around very fast in Middle Earth.
 
I believe that Carl will do just fine in a Cup car. Just as I think that Kyle will.
 
I think Carl's got an awesome career ahead of him. I can't wait to see him race cup cars full time.
 
I've been firedup about Carl Edwards ever since last year in the CTS. I've been a Kyle fan since he won that ARCA race earlier this year...I'm just pumped up as can be for next season with those two at the helm of good cars.
 
I really DO like Carl. Think he has a great future in CUP!!! Shame he's driving for , well...........you know who.
Kyle Bush had better grow up a tad mentally. Refusing interviews when he finished 2nd is not a good thing. He's done that twice now. Maybe he DID have the car to beat, but, he's a youngun and better learn to appreciate a good run when he does well. Refusing interviews could have a negative impact on his fan base! Maybe brother Kurt should have a brotherly chat with Kyle????? Kurt is sure well versed in media speak!!! And I am being complimentary here since I don't really like Kurt. LOL
 
well, he did just lose the championship, I would be upset about it too...he didn't finish second in the race either.
 
ax, I think DL meant the past couple weeks, she didn't get to watch the Busch race till this afternoon because she was at Irwindale.

I am a Kyle fan (as is DL) but I sure wish Hendrick would keep him in Busch 1 more year. I really think he NEEDS that extra year.
I have a beautiful Kellogs Racing team jacket that I wear proudly right now and I want to be able to continue wearing it and not have to but it in the back of my closet with the 2002 Champions jacket.
 
oh, okay, well, I remember how Harvick was pretty down last year after he came up short on his gains on Kenseth. You know, a lot of people complain about drivers cussing and acting like jerks in their interviews, this usually is because they are frustrated and come out of the car, knowing they did poorly, or didn't gain on the leader or something and suddenly have a camera in their face, most people say, "save the interviews until they've cooled down". If I was in the points battle Kyle was in, and a second place finish didn't get me anywhere on Truex, I would be too upset with myself after the race to talk to the media for awhile. The biggest problem is, that this is the Busch series and after the excitement is over, the press shifts gears to the cup series and the busch stuff is generally forgotten...you know, heard anything about the biffle/busch/hornaday incident recently? No, because the cup chase is heating up.

Probably just a good idea to steer clear of the media on Kyles part.
