My grandpa is in Murrieta. We visited for the pomona finals. Didn't even know you were in the area.

Thought you were running a ford block, with the dizzy in front. Saw the bellhousing bosses and realized you're on a V drive.

Born and raised in a V-Drive family. It's awesome twisting peoples brain trying to figure out wtf direction that motor's spinning. Figures the straight line guys know what's up.. :D

I graduated from Vista Murrieta HS. VERY familiar with the area. I love this dirt. My Dad lives basically on Elsinore.

For you NASCAR fans, here's a V-Drive dragboat a guy by the name of Rick Hendrick owned, he left the sport after his driver, Jimmy Wright passed away. He went stock car racing with Harry Hyde because it was safer..........

220 mph

Damn, jacked my own thread.

You running a powerglide in front of the V drive, or straight through? The bellhousing in your sig pic looks like a straight drive?

How much are them V drives anyways?

Straight through. It does have reverse though! You just have to kill it immediately or it'll dive and sink itself. lmao

A new V-drive would probably go for about 3k from what I understand. Depending on what you want you could get a fresh V-Drive for 2k.. I'll be honest though I've never been anywhere near a new, recently purchased V-Drive. Haha
You can pick up a nice, complete rig in SoCal(probably the cheapest market) for between 8 and 12 grand. The real pretty ones are up over 20.

It would be a lot cheaper to build a V-Drive to go fast than a Jet Boat any day of the week. And they're more fun! You guys should build one. Seriously. You'd love it.

I've always tinkered with the idea of a mid engined street legal rock crawler/mudder. Thus the question. Blown 540/Turbo 400/V drive, then a doubler transfercase down to military axles and 52" tires. :p Don't think the engine/trans oiling systems would like sitting at an 8 degree angle, though.

It would climb walls really fast:D. I like your style. I've never completely understood off-road V-Drives but that sounds bat**** crazy.

You should think about possibly building a V-Drive boat in the future. Idk if you've ever been in one but I think you'd enjoy it. I've not been in a whole lot of go fast stuff but that little yellow boat gives me butterflies everytime. And it's not even super big powered by your standards lol

Nice boat. It reminds me of a boat called Eat My Wake from a movie.

A friend of mine raced outboards and left the sport after a flip (and factory teams taking over). He souped up a Hydrostream bass boat as a compromise with his wife for a change in hobbies.

National Lampoons Summer Vacation!. I die a little everytime I see the scene where they run it aground...

There are some scary fast bass boats. Not a horrible compromise :D
