You talkin bout those "coach" addictions???

FREAKIT, just save the $$$$.## and go to Value city or walmart.

I have a lot better things to spend my $$ on, even invited abooja to live here rent free, I pay for food, she cooks and shops for food.
She is still contemplating, but is tempted.

BTW,in my wooded, townhome community, there are 4 for sale and there are only 3 2 story homes to a building... NOT the typical "condo".

Hey, CP...I actually wear the new "bag" everyday. :) Like it a lot, so far. It's a whole lot bigger than I thought it would be, but it's not utterly huge, I don't think. I've managed not to stuff it full to capacity, as I'm wont to do. That only happens when I stick a sweater or jacket in there...for the office, which might be the coldest place on earth (in more ways than one).

Here's a photo I just took. That's my Cooking With Master Chefs cookbook sticking out, where I'm getting Emeril's Louisiana Boil recipe from. It's even got a side pocket for my cell phone, which I was specifically looking for. Unfortunately, that pocket is starting to tear off ever so slightly. I think that may have happened when my colleague's drunken buddy was fooling around with my cell phone at a bar before the Springsteen concert last week. He yanked the phone out really quickly -- and promptly dropped it on the floor. Apparently, he also ripped my bag.

But I don't think it's cheaply made at all.

Thanks for asking!

P.S. You can tell how rough I am on this bag, huh?

And thanks again for your extremely kind offer, Kat! Were you a salesman in a former life? :D

abooja, my "cheep" bag serves the same purpose and when stuffed, weight about 7lbs. PURRRRRRRRRRRRR

abooja.........
yeah still looks good...i know...i have to have the cell phone pocket when i look for purses now.........seems to be the must..gotta have that pocket for the good ole cell phone........]
but looks good..............oh you like cookbooks too huh? me too......
:D

Kat, there are just certain things that I don't like to go cheap on, and bags are now one of them. :) I used to buy $15 bags all the time, but they would just fall apart in seconds. I always wanted to own a Coach -- nice, solid leather construction. But the one I bought just wasn't roomy enough, plus the straps were too short to wear on my shoulder.

One of the other things I almost always splurge on is cooking stuff. Stainless steel All-Clad pots, Henckels knives, Kitchen Aid mixer (top of the line, from Mommy!), and a professional Waring bar blender. I always migrate to the kitchen section of a store, like I did at Crate & Barrel yesterday. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I've got a hard wood, butcher block top kitchen cart from there, plus a nice hanging pot rack.

And cookbooks?! I've been obsessed with them since I was a child. I've got at least 50. Don't know if that's a lot or not, but they're all over my living room floor because my two 7' bookcases are filled to capacity. I LOVE cookboks!!! I now belong to my second ever cookbook club. Even when I forget to mail back the little response cards, I wind up buying them half the time because I get enticed by the brand new cookbook in my hands. :myob: I guess I'm as bad as you are with new purses..err, bags! :D

well like you Abooja...I like purses and also kitchen stuff..........I only like the good stuff..and I have a kitchen aid mixer also.........the big one, this is my second one........I figure your gonna buy kitchen stuff..but the best.........the top of the line.........

you name it, i probably have it.............
:)
