Caps deserved to lose the way they played tonight. Only player that showed up was Ovie.

Good luck to your Penguins. I ain't bitter about anything -- will just have to listen to Pittsburgh fans for a few more weeks.

Should've been a good game tonight -- but the Caps did what every Washington team does best and gave it away.

There are a lot of things Caps fans are complaining about (rightfully so):

Bad officiating (Referees called a lot of bs penalties against the Caps, but missed a lot of penalties committed by the Pens) -- even in the playoffs, pushing a goalie in to the net and punching him is a cheap shot and does constitute a goalie interference call.

Bad goaltending (reality is, if they kept Theodore, or as I call him Threeormore, in the goal, Caps wouldn't have beaten the Rangers)

But the reality is, this was going to go to Game 7 from the start. Maybe the Caps might have won one of the Pittsburgh games if the Pens hadn't got a power play off a bull**** call.

But that's all irrelevant. Caps have nobody to blame for losing that series than themselves. They put too much on a rookie goaltender who was long overdue for a sloppy performance. The offense put too much on Ovechkin and didn't show up. Defense didn't protect the goalie, and they didn't cover Crosby very well which is a huge mistake.

Everyone knew this would be a 7 game series -- Caps should've known this, and they should've showed up. And Coach Boudreau should've know better than to start a rookie goalie in such a critical game.

But the reality is, this was going to go to Game 7 from the start.

Of course it was going to go to Game 7 and it doesn't much matter if you're talking hockey, bassetball, debasedball or what. They have to stretch the series out to get the money. A short series and no one makes anything...
