Hi there,

My name is Kate and I live in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada! I am a local Firefighter and I am a Stock Car Driver. Last year, I did Drag Racing but this year I am building my own car to race up Island in the Figure Eight Races. It is a 1989 Toyota Corolla SR-5 :beerbang:

I thought I would join this forum to get advice about cars and just hang out :D

Hey Kim.

Me and magnethead are the only people who do drag racing on here so feel free to post in there. :D
 
Andy also thinks that he's in the minority here as far as drag racing goes. Well, he might be in the minority, but that's about as far as it goes. :)
 
Haha ya my name isn't Kim but it's all good, I've been called many diffrent things before lol
 
So as someone requested here is a pic of me, it is pretty bad but this is what 4 straight hours of working on a car does to me lol I was helping my boyfriend put his 350 into his Oldsmobile Cutlass for his Prom...

I seen the pic for the 1st time in your profile and guessd it was a Cutlass. I know a few things about the mertic GM cars.
 
Ya cutlasses are my boyfriend's obsession so i've picked up a thing or two over the past year lol

Awww thanks! Yeah a lot of people have said that to us. I'm definatly not the "Oh sh*t I broke a nail" type :p
 
Hey! I'm a car chick! My husband fixes them up or we take them to a garage and I even pump my own gas! ROFLMAO I remember when I had my first car and was single, I thought when my brother said he'd "help me" change my oil, well, it meant he'd do it. I wasn't too thrilled when he showed up and told me to get down under the car since I had on my good leather jacket at the time. He said he wasn't one of my boyfriends and he sure as hell wasn't going to do it for me. Older brothers, gotta love 'em. :D
