What was the payout down at Smokey Mountain? I know Mike Marlar left VMS Friday rather than try for the $3000 to win race. Guess he blew his motor and needed to go home first.

VMS had a Lucas $25K to win race ($2K to start) and $3K non-qualifiers race, both of which he opted to leave after having engine problems on Saturday.

I see Ray Cook ran down at Smokey Mountain too, which explains why he wasn't in Va.

It was a typical $5,000 to win Southern All-Stars race. I used to have their full payout, but I don't have it any more. I was a little suprised Marlar drove 8+ hours back to race down here, but I didn't talk to him to see why.
