Hideki Mutoh Joins AGR

Well, Andretti Green Racing has chosen Hideki Mutoh to replace Dario Franchitti for the 2008 IRL season. He will be driving the #27 car.

Hideki raced in the Indy Pro Series this year and placed 2nd in points standings behind Alex Lloyd.

Interesting choice, not the choice many people were guessing.
 
It is interesting, but I think it will be good.
Is it confirmed? I heard this rumored...

It's rumored he brought an 18 million dollar deal with him? I wanted Vitor so bad in that car. I think he's very underated and deserves a win. But then again I'd like to see a japanese driver do well to especially with Kosuke at Japan last year. That was a bummer. I hope I'm correct with the name.

No, its confirmed and a fact he is thier 4th driver. Now as far as bringing the multi-million dollar deal, I have heard $12 million and $15 million that he is bringing with him.

And an AGR source says the sponsor on his car along with a new paint scheme is Panasonic.
