You guys got any in your area? We've had several in the past few days. We had one yesterday and two today. One just ended in a traffic accident with the genius driver exiting his vehicle and firing at the (at least 10) squad cars behind him. He's still alive but in custody with at least one gunshot. Don't these idiots watch any of the other police chases
It was televised by the news choppers and you could see the guy get hit. We get at least a few per month around here.

We usually get ours when temps are in the 100's. They never end with the guy getting away but I guess they want to be the first to.

The one we had yesterday the guy got out, disappeared into some trees and got away. For now...they arrested two of his passengers, so it won't be long before they rat him out.
This is one we had on 09/06...> http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-lynwood-pursuit-murder,0,2581702.story where the suspect tossed a dead girl out the door during the chase.
Lotsa whackos lately.

Two separate investigations are looking at the actions of a Garland police officer during a police chase that ended with the shooting death of a suspect last month.
Garland police said Tuesday that the officer, Patrick Tuter, fired at Michael Vincent Allen 41 times. There is no evidence that Allen ever tried to assault the officer or returned fire, police said.
Allen, 25, of Wylie, was shot and killed Aug. 31 after a high-speed chase that began in Garland and ended in Mesquite. He was wanted on suspicion of eluding police in Sasche a few days earlier.
At the time of the shooting, investigators said the officer shot Allen after he rammed his pickup truck into the officer's cruiser. But dashboard camera video from the officer's patrol car shows that the officer rammed into Allen's truck and fired 41 shots at Allen, reloading his weapon twice, police said Tuesday.
"When we counted everything in the investigation, we found that our officer -- one officer -- fired at least 41 shots," Garland police spokesman Officer Joe Harn said.
The officer has been placed on restricted duty and his service-issued weapons have been confiscated.

WOW.

My brother was a Houston officer for 25 years, my husband was a reserve deputy for 22 years --- neither ever figured out why someone thought they could out-run the radio or a helicopter.

TRL, The term used here years ago was 'you might be fast but nobody can outrun Motorola'

Based on what's in the link I have a feeling somebody is in deep doo-doo and the citizens are going to be paying.
41 TIMES? Reloaded twice? Boy needs time on the range methinks.

There's a twist to last night's chase. The suspect exited the vehicle with an AK47 and opened fire on police officers before he was shot multiple times and taken into custody. He's currently in stable condition following surgery (bummer). The twist is that two years ago, following a high speed chase, his brother exited the vehicle with an AK47, fired on police officers and was subsequently shot dead.

We just had one a few days ago in NC that killed a Highway Patrolman. While the officers were in pursit of the thug, the officer was attempting to throw out spikes and the low-life ran over him. This is one I would like to see a public hanging on.

A few days ago two local 17 year olds stole a car, got spotted and the chase was on. A few miles later they veered off into a ditch jumped out and ran about 50 yd,s before they sunk into the mud in the marsh, one was bitten by a cotton mouth water moccasin and almost died and both were sunk up to their waste and couldnt move.

I'm listening to the radio in my work truck right now to another chase going on. 2 to 4 knuckleheads in a Volvo SUV, tried to rob a bank and are now trying to elude several squad cars, 2 police helicopters and about 5 news choppers...
*EDIT* Apparently they DID rob a bank and they are now driving through south central L.A. throwing money out the windows...WTF?

It has to be something to do with warm weather! Hi speed chases seem to be an everyday thing in Florida between I-95, I-75 and I-4 geeez people Dade and Brevard county seem to be the worst here in Volusia Co. it's just constant drug stops on I-95 :(

I watched the tv show COPS a couple times relized that 90% of the shows idiots where filmed in Florida and qiut watching...to depressing.

Unless it's a major felony high speed chases aren't done here any longer, to many accidents, injuries, and a few death occurred because they were chasing a guy for no turn signal. Yes before our resident eggspurt on everything chimes in the decision was made to let a felon go rather than endanger the public at large.
