During his interview Saturday after his problem at the start of the race, he refused to discuss it on camera several times (and he was clearly very agitated about it). The next day, his team apparently refused to discuss it with the media as well.

Does anyone have any idea what happened with his start and why no one will discuss it? Was he just too embarrassed to admit that he had just screwed up and stalled the car? If that were the case, it shouldn't have been that hard for him or anyone else on the team to just admit it and move on. After all, he's not the first driver to have a problem with a standing start.

I'm thinking that he must have been having some disagreement with someone on the team about how to start the race, configure the car, etc., that person won out and as a result, it caused Hinch to blow the start.

My theory is that Hinch thinks he's getting sub-par equipment from the team because he's leaving at the end of the year (or probably leaving).

Andretti's cars have been having weird electrical issues all season. Michael has pulled resources from Hinch's team before to benefit Marco, so I suspect (again, total speculation), Hinch is getting the older cars, the hand-me-down's, etc.

He isn't the only driver who's had trouble sorting out the shift/clutch mechanism on these cars. On some of the radio transmissions, it sounded like the team guys were telling the drivers how to 'reset' the ECU or gearbox controller after they stalled. If it's a software glitch, there's no excuse this far down the road.
