On History International last night.

Did a 3 day dig in York. Fascinating finds --

foundations of a Viking trader's house right in the middle of the city

Roman burials in the front lawn of the big hotel --- turned up the skeletons of a man, woman, and child --- remarkably preserved. Plus the foundation wall of a round building, possibly a mausoleum

Foundation pillars of the hospital on the monastic grounds

I love this show on Wednesday nights. Think I'm an archeologist at heart.

Naaaah...you just like diggin' around in the dirt,
getting soil underneath your fingernails and all...

I bet you loved building sand castles at the beach
when you were a kid, too....huh ???

ROTFL

You're right, sort of. I love digging around in the dirt.

But sand castles at the beach? Nope, can't stand the beach--too much sand and salt water. LOL
