May 4, 1986: With the field for the Winston 500 at Talladega sitting on pit road waiting for the four most famous words in auto racing ("Gentlemen, start your engines"), a fan climbs into the pace car and drives off with the Corvette. To put an end to the joy ride, police and track officials set up a roadblock coming out of Turn 4, where they are able to stop the car and apprehend the fan. Pretty crazy, huh? See for yourself. It's on YouTube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICi3kIzSIZg.

I remember that well and was going to bring it up in the Stolen Kenseth car thread. What a MaRoon 'eh.

Come on Kat, thats a Pontiac Trans Am.....you should know better:D

That little clip sure brought back some good old memories. Bob Jenkins and the late Larry Nuber covered NASCAR for ESPN.

AHHHHHHHHHHH Jenkins and Nuber.. IMHO still the best announcing team ever in any form of auto racing. RIP Larry.
