Congratulations Lindsey King on becoming the first female to win in late-model stock car competition at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale! :beerbang:
 
Oh geezzz, a heat race no less, and at Boringdale to boot!! Congrates to her, but its a heat race!! Duane:sarcasm:
 
What the hell jenny white has won several heat races and mains event at I-70 speedway in late models and modifieds and she has started a couple of CTS races and a busch race at kansas speedway.

Yes, I did call it Boringdale, have you ever been there? I have a couple of times, unbelievably expensive for a local show along with a train race.
 
I like watching the all star race at the end of the year (now beginning of the year) That race is usually cut throat and crazy. I hope they didnt ruin it by moving it to january. Before the guys had all winter to fix the damage, in january they might have to be more conservative to keep a new body looking good. Maybe a few will just leave the old body on for some beating and banging lol
 
I think for that race, they get a lot of drivers from different areas that really lend to the competition. Its the weekly show that suffers "in my opinion" but then I'm not the biggest fan of pavement racing anyway.
It kinda works the same with Dirt racing when the big boys from back east or the mid west get together with our locals, the racing is a step or two higher, because they do it for a living, and we do it for a hobby. Duane

Oh really?

That was a "boring" photofinish Ms. King won that race in. Also a boring race for 3rd, which was also side-by-side at the line and a boring race for 5th, side-by-side at the line.

Yeah i got interested in west coast dirt racing when Lee Jensen and Billy Simpkins out of bakersfield started doing the podcast last year. Ive missed it this year but its cool to see the differences in racing out west compared to how we do things in the midwest and out east. There are some great drivers out there that i hope they get their shot to run with the boys out here some day.

Ya, I know both Lee and Billy, I don't know if there still doing there radio gig or not. We have a couple of big venues that draw the name guys from the mid west, obviouly Vegas does but also Manzie in Phoniex C.A.R. in Casa Grande Az, all pull big dogs from the midwest and north Doar and Mars and Moyer, along with O'niel and many more, CAR was represented by 26 or 29 states, either last year of the year before. Great racing!! Duane
 
they havent been doing their radio gig and i got nothing to listen to on the ipod on the long drive to school anymore lol ive tried talking both of them into doing it again.
