I have never understood the nations school systems. Tomorrow is Thursday and you are starting your first day of school. Sorry to hear that your summer is finished for this year, but you will have graduated from high school before you know it! Enjoy your young life and learn all that you can. It will only benefit you as you grow older.

Our kids don't start school for another week and a half, on Aug. 18th.

They changed ours back in WI this year to what it was like when I was a kid...the first day after Labor Day. Otherwise it was the Tuesday after the Bristol Night race.

tonstewartfan, congratulations on making it to sophomore. No longer are you the bottom of the food chain. ;)

Sure makes me glad I retired my chalk holder.

In my former district, the teachers go back tomorrow for 7 days of inservice before school starts on the 18th. I may go down and gloat a little next week. hehehe

That's the time everybody looks forward to in high school. Enjoy this year because it will all be over before you know it and it will be time to become an adult.

Don't confuse me with 97. We all know how grown up he is.

Well my day was so long and boring!!! Have homework already in Geometry and Biology. Its not that bad though. I'm just worn out! Sucks that i have to go again tomorrow...

Wow...

Startin school in august sucks. We don't have to go back until the Wednessday after labor day. Teachers go back on Tuesday and then we start prayin for snow days. I'm also going to be a senior this year too. I'm excited, but I don't want High School to end...

I went and singed up for my classes the other day! I start on the 25th! Iam taking Architecture CAD, Advanced CAD, Architecture Design, and Socialolgy.

( CAD is Compture Aided Drafting for those who don't know)

One of the Architecture books and the Soc book cost $167 total, Thankfully I will use a CAD book which I have used since Begining CAD last fall and the other class does not have a book, yet! Tution costs about $1,000  ANybody got some money I can borow :D

Which CAD system do you use @ school? I never had CAD at school, it was first starting to come into the tech schools when I graduated, but I've worked on Computervision, IBM Cadam, Cadra, AutoCad, IronCad & hopefully soon Pro-E (we have a few licences & hopefully getting more).

In High School we used AutoCAD 2000 At my tech school we are using AutoCad 2002 which is almost the exact same just a coupe new things here and there!

I took 2 years of Auto CAD in High school, mostly mechanical stuff and some architecture. So far in Collage we have done mecahincal. Thankfully we will start to do architecture this year! I liek it much better, you don't have to be exactly right in measuremnets and you can play around some with the design!

I am not real smart with computers, but I am learning. Kinda have too! But I did make honner roll with a 3.66 gpa, so yeah i am kinda smart. Smarter than people think I am, proably because i can't talk very well!
