lol You're such a sensitive guy. The article is titled "Dale Earnhardt Jr. says winless streak cost Hendrick $1M", NOT "HMS loses $1M". I have a feeling Jeff Olsen knows the difference.
 
I am not a big fan of Junior's and I have not always agreed with his choices but,

-He wasn't that bad last year. He put himself in postion to have a few late race shots at winning.
-I can understand folks disbelieving his worth, just not the hate. He did no more to choose being an Earnhardt than a poor man choosing his birth
-He would needs tons of self hate to please some folks, and he seems to be hard on himself anyway.



Note: not directed at anyone on RF, just my thoughts after reading the comments in the link.

+1 Greg ...everyone can be pretty hard on a top ten driver . Especially when he beats so many of their favorites.I don't root for Junior , but I think he is a hell of a nice guy.
 
Popularity brings it's own price. I remember Kyle complaining to the media that he should be more popular than Jr because he has more wins than Jr.

Jr's response? "That's just the way it works". lol
 
Wins have nothing to do with popularity. Look at the later stages of Bill's career to see that point. Heck, just wait to see Danica dethrone Jr. soon and that will prove my point.

Some would say that Jr HAS been working backwards from there. Not me though, so nobody needs to bomb my home.

Oh, Hells No! I am sure he makes that back in merchandise sales alone!!

But if he only paid Joonyer $25 Mil per year, he would have more dollars on the Plus side of the ledger...
