In an effort to drum up some conversation, I'll start, I am, like everyone else here, into racing quite a bit, but I also enjoy golfing, tinkering in the garage, mountain biking, and recently I purchased a new dirt bike. In the winter time I enjoy skiing and snowmobiles. (good gawd, it's turning into a personal add.... swm seeks swf for conversation over the roar of 43 800HP stock cars and cold malt beverages....

Well, maybe this will get some action going here

Have a great day everyone!!

Most of my spare time is spent with my daughter, she is ten and just awesome! I am her Girl Scout Leader and I help out a lot with her Cheerleading Squad. When I am not being a mom (or at least when she goes to her dad's), I like to bowl, play bunko and garden. (Man I sound OLD! ) My girlfriends and I go clubbing about once a month, I love to dance.
I collect Longaberger Baskets and Old World Santa's, so I have to hit the antigue shops from time to time to add to my collection.
I am up for the conversation over the roar of 43 800HP stock cars and cold malt beverages.... ^_^

Seriously...are we the only people on here today? I'm starting to wonder. So which tracks have you been to? I have been to Phoenix 3 times, Vegas twice, and the night race at Bristol. I want to hit Richmond here one of these days.....wait, got to focus, can't start thinking about sitting in the sun at the track, pouring down a cold one......too late :p

Charlotte and Michigan, didn't make it to the 600 this year. Hopefully I will be back on track next year and make it down there. But headed up to MIS for the race on Father's day. Night race at Bristol, is the race I really want to go to. Soon.
I can't wait till Michigan!
Nothin' in the world like baking in the sun at the track.

Call me couch potato.

Not into the physical outdoor stuff. I absolutely devour books --- mostly history, biographies, fantasy/science fiction.

Love to do needlepoint and crochet. Cooking(and eating) are also on my list.

I love to travel. Have been to all 50 states and most of Western Europe --- I've been to St. Petersburg, Russia, also.

Headed to Atlanta for the fall race.

I generally freat over bills and work alot. When I'm not doing that I enjoy camping, hiking and reading. I'm a bit of a book worm. I also spend way to much time thinking about football. I'm a nut when the season starts. I schedule my week around the Browns.

Love being the couch potato reading a book, but family doesn't. (I don't cook until book is finished.) I also enjoy camping (5th wheel style), boating (watching 14 yr. old son wakeboard and barefoot) and just taking the boat out into the middle of the water, dropping anchor and floating around with a nice cold adult beverage (although not too far from the dock). Enjoy cooking out with friends in the neighborhood (also with cold adult beverages) and just being a mom and wife. ;)

I like to do any kind of art like drawing and painting, I LOVE to sing, read and write poetry, reading in general, hang out with my friends

Ahhh... the days other than Sunday..
I am either working, tinkering in the garage on the drag car, or hanging out with my buds at the track. I've been to a couple races this year so far... Bristol Spring Busch race and Cup race, and also "The Winston" at LMS. I plan on going to both Bristol fall races, and hopefully the fall Charlotte race.

TRL and Majestyx, what authors do you read? I didn't list reading but it is definelty one of my top things to do. I am with you Majestyx, once I start a book nothing gets done till the book is done. My favorite series has to be Nora Roberts as JD Robb, her In Death Series. Love it! I also read Patricia Cornwell, Mary HigginsClark, Debbie MaComber just to name a few.

John Grisham for sure. Have read some Patricia Cornwell, Mary Higgins Clark, and others that I can't recall at this particular moment (in the beginning phases of CRS) The rest of what I read is just by looking at the title and reading the first couple of pages standing in the store. I read a wide variety of material. ;)

I bet you would like the In Death series by Nora Roberts/JD Robb. They are excellent. I read my first one about a year ago and had to run to every book store and library around to get all 18(I think that's how many) in the series. I have read them all, a couple even twice.

It's a futuristic cop series. Eve Dallas is a homicide cop(very by the book) in I think 2052. Her character is great. There is always a murder she is working on with her team. But it's not just about the murder it's about Eve and her relationships, she's not a very personable person, I guess you would say. She is married to the richest man in the world (who earned his most of richest on the oppisite side of the law) and he is so romantic. Both of them had horrible childhoods. It deals with all aspects of their marriage and how the compliment each other. All the characters are wonderful. One of my friends told me about the series when they first started coming out, I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to get one, I am so addicted.
If you go to www.JDRobb.com there is a list of all them in order I believe.

Sounds interesting, I have been looking for some new blood to get into, I have been reading Grisham, King, Koontz, and Saberhagen, I really should say re-reading.

Working around the house is about the only thing I have time to do anymore. I do make time to spend with my kids though. That is the most important investment I can make. Doing a lot of remodeling inside and out. I re-did my bathroom and kitchens pretty much from the studs up and out. I'm also ripping out trees and bushes (mostly lilacs) and we are going to plant a very large flower bed where they were. Also enjoy playing and teaching guitar, although teaching will have to be put on hold with the new job.

Well I'm into AFL, Aussie footy with no ***** padding like you Americans with NFL! :p And go to a game once a week on the weekends. The team I follow is the Mighty Bomber from Essendon. As far as motor sports goes I follow F1 and V8 supercars mostly and go to the Australian GP each year and try and make each V8 race in my state (around 3-4 a year). During the week I'm a full time Marketing student and loving it, although not a big fan of the home work, which I'm meant to be doing this very second...oops!! I love to read, so spend time doing that and if not reading I love good ol' TV!! I'm in the middle of 24 and sit there screaming and going "OMG!!" ..."OMG!!"...shhhh...no one spoil what's going to happen!! I like to go to the gym twice-three times a week and swimming at the gym, I just love the water and the beach! Although now coming into winter I have to get my skis out and I'll try and go skiing on the weekends. I use to do heaps of horse riding but fell off a few times and my back isn't great any more, but I'm sure I'll get back into it soon as a friends go a new horse, so YAY!

Here in wisconsin, I like biking the "rails to trails" use to be able to go about 40 miles, but since my accident I can only get about 27mi max. If i'm not on this baord I am on one of the 4 other computer forums.
I build high end game systems for people in this area, by putting ads up in the stores. I'm also in the midle of siding my house. lots of work!
