HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

Winter Storm Warning has been posted for the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina for this Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This is for areas above two thousand-five-hundred feet. In the mountains, the potential exists for a quick three to six inches of snow late this Wednesday night into Thursday morning before the precipitation changes to sleet and rain.

A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for tonight into tomorrow morning for all the Tri-Cities and southwest Virginia along with eastern Kentucky. The lower elevations could see up to one to three inches of snow late tonight into early tomorrow morning before the precipitation mixes with sleet and rain before turning to all rain through the mid-morning hours.

Cloudy skies and cold temperatures are in the forecast tonight with an 80% chance of snow. Low temperatures will fall to near 29 degrees.

Thursday will give way to mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures. We will have a 70% chance of morning snow/sleet and rain before changing to all rain through the mid-morning. High temperatures will be near 39 degrees.

Cloudy skies are in the forecast for Thursday night with a 30% chance of light snow. Low temperatures will drop to near 32 degrees.

These weathermen are idiots. They're saying it'll be too warm (the high temp has passed, temperatures are dropping) for snow in the 5th District (Southern Maryland). Slight problem here, it's already 32°, the high was 36° and the temperature is dropping.

Not cold enough for snow my left foot.

It's going to be bad. You know why I know? Because I have to go to Buddd's Creek (MIR) tonight.

Right. The temperature is now 31.8° and still falling!

Don't expect me to feel sorry for you:rolleyes:

Wow, how much did you get, an inch.

In Feb of 1979 we got 24 inches in Gaithersburg, MD....a suburb of D.C.

Not even an inch. :XXROFL:

They're calling for a big storm tomorrow afternoon, and the news said Waldorf would be the biggest city affected by this (seeing as nowhere else in Southern Maryland comes anywhere close to the population Waldorf has).

So far, they've given us no timeline, no snowfall totals or projections.

Its a conspiracy of the Grocery stores...to call the NewsMedia....

End result..All the Bread and Milk...are GONE

:D :D :D :D

why do people do that ?? are they going to eat more bread and drink more milk when it snows. we keep our pantry stocked we could go for a while without going to the store

They're calling for a low of 9° tomorrow, with 15 mph sustained winds and gusts up to 35 mph.

Winter sucks. :(

Come on up here and sit on the shore of Lake Ontario with Lake Erie to the west and then you can complain. Ever heard of LAKE EFFECT? Two of the dirtiest words in the English language. LOL Actually, we haven't had it THAT bad. I only got caught in a white out for a little while the other night. ;) It's been a week since all the trees got blown down and the power went out. I do agree... winter definitely SUCKS. I hate it more and more every year. BLECH!

Uh, no. Thanks for the offer. :XXROFL:

BWAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :XXROFL:

Weatherman called for snow and ice in the 'Dorf today.

Right now, it's sunny and 38°. :D

Light to moderate snow showers moving in, colder air to follow!
Thursday, January 24 12:45 PM
A snow advisory is in effect for a few locations this afternoon with even a light dusting of snow likely for the Tri-Cities. A bitterly cold air mass will arrive tonight pushing wind chill values below zero.

They said the same thing here.

I hope they are wrong here, too. :)

I'm freezing my stones off over here. It's 56 degrees and raining...

Don't expect me to feel bad for you.

It was 8° when I got in the beanermobile (My POS Montero) this morning. :(

I walked outside and turned into a Caucasion Popcicile.

It was 9, now it's a whopping 13. Maryland is suppose to be colder than Tn.

Tenessee has mountains. Besides, we're close enough to D.C. to get all the hot air. See, there's a constant smell of bs and a constant flow of hot air coming from Capitol Hill that flows across the region, increasing our temperatures 10-20°, keeping it warmer than usual. :)

I was in Maryland for 3 months. I could not wait to get back home.

Whereabouts in Maryland?

Maryland is a virus. At first you hate it, but after 7 years you don't want to leave and anyone who does leave comes back.
