I'm already pissed off with the "Can Gordon win a 5th title?" B.S.
He already would have had they not GIVEN it to Johnson. It makes Jimmie appear to be better than he really is.

Does anyone know where Johnson has to finish to lose the cup if Gordon wins?

That's great, NASCAR is going to penalize Harvick for a commitment cone violation when the 8 hammered him in the door and shoved him up the track.
What was Jr. thinking???

It's what NASCAR does, SCREWS HARVICK OVER!

That was a bullchit penalty and they know it. (Pardon the language)

Here we go to commercial --- again.

Why can't we see the cars.

And right this minute --- the radio isn't much help, either. A lovely interview with Edsel Ford.

Hornish in the fence...
They said yesterday that he will go full-time in Cup next year, my opinion is that he is clearly not ready. I think they should have to have X amount of Busch (Nationwide) wins under their belt before they can run full time Cup.

Congrats to Kenseth and Roush racing!!!!!

Congratulations, also to Jeff Gordon, the true Nextel Cup Champion!!
That's two stolen from Jeff Gordon. Right now he'd have 6 behind the King and Earnhardt Sr.

Agree with the post.

Congrats to Kenseth for the win and congrats to Gordon for an awesome season. If I understand correctly he had 30 top 10 finishes.

The what about Jeff Gordon, Smoke, Johnson? I dont think any of them spent much time in Busch or were that grate before moving up to Cup. Just depends on the driver.

The chase did nothing put piss me off again this year.

Gordon, Smoke and Johnson haven't spent as much time in the fence as Hornish has either...

Did anyone hear what Mark Martin said about Jeff Burton after he did his victory lap last night? Mark said "He's old school. Those burnouts are juvenile. I kind of have to agree with him. I get sort of tired of the burnouts.

In 2 races.

Jimmie sucked in Busch. Lucked his way into a win at Chicago.

Everyone said Juan Pablo sucks as well, look at what he's doing.,

Jimmie had the best avg. finish of any driver through the chase. 4.6 to Jeff's 5.4 or whatever it was. Last year you were all crying about the winner deserving more points for wins. Nascar gave it to you. now you cry about that. Jimmie won more races, he won the cup. Here is an idea lets just give the cup to Jeff at the start of the season so you people will be happy. Jeff/Steve gave it away.

The true Champ is Jimmie.

Yep, Jeff STILL would have 353 points over Johnson without the Chase. Now you just have to be the best out of the last 10 races. Granted, JJ did an awesome job, but had they pulled 10 races in the middle of the summer, he wouldn't have had squat!

So... forget 26 races as long as you're just "good enough" to make it into the Chase. All that counts is the last 10 races..... hmmm....26 is still more than twice than 10 the last time I pulled out my old slate and chalk.

See above. He only had the best avg DURING THE CHASE! I do believe they ended up even closer ..something like 5.2 to 5.0. Jeff set the record for top 10s. He had a remarkable season and those of us who know this "play-off" is a joke, realize who had the best stats for the whole season. Of course, all most people will count are the # of Championships. Too bad. Jimmie didn't even have to win a race last yr, did he? Uggh..... Anyway, what's done is done. Jeff has more class than I do at the moment. ;)
