They've always red flagged if there was standing water on the track. I remember being at the old CART races at Road America when I was 5 or 6 and the races being delayed due to standing water on the track.

It's not an issue with standing water.

Very bad start, I remember other drivers stopping to see if wrecked cars were okay. Race starts at about 6:50. They eventually restarted the race and ran to halfway under yellow just to meet the contractual obligations.

They might make tomorrow a standing start race if there is no rain. They did that at Detroit for the first standing start race. The drivers boofed the standing start on Saturday and IndyCar made Sunday a standing start race so the fans got to see one.
