I will have a new series of posts every Monday night or Tuesday, after the races to show who are the hottest drivers, and who are the coldest drivers in the last 4 races. I only give the top 30, so If your driver didn't make the list, thats why, he is 31st, or lower, but you can always hope for the next week! The driver must have raced all 4 of the last races in order to be eligible. Here is the 1st version of it... :)

1. (NR) #8 Dale Earnhardt Jr---AVG. 3.25
Dale has defientely been the best driver in the last 4 weeks no matter what anyone says.

2. (NR) #17 Matt Kenseth---AVG. 6.75
Matt has done very well, holding the points position at #1, but he needs to brace himself for Jr.

3. (NR) #40 Sterling Marlin---AVG. 9
I bet that you never figured Marlin would be so high up here, It surprised me! But those top 10 finishes are doing the job!

4. (NR) #18 Bobby Labonte---AVG. 9.25
He has one bad finish keeping him from being number one, his other finishes have been 1,2, and 2!

4. (NR) #24 Jeff Gordon---AVG.9.25
Jeff has tied with Bobby, keeping them both up at 4th. Mr. Gordon is quietly sneaking his way in there.

6. (NR) #6 Mark Martin---AVG.10.25
Mr. Second place from the 2002 season isn't doing to bad again this year, and is gaining his points pretty fastly!

7. (NR) #9 Bill Elliott---AVG. 12.5
"Awesome Bill from Dawesonville", is showing he is not over with, and in fact doing very well!

8. (NR) #5 Terry Labonte---AVG. 13
Well, well, well, if it isn't the Richmond pole sitter in 8th place!

9. (NR) #29 Kevin Harvick---AVG. 13.25
Kevin is doing a lot better than last year, and proving it everywhere, even the Busch Series!

10. (NR) #97 Kurt Busch---AVG. 14
Kurt was doing great at the beginning of the year, and is doing fair, now, but none the less, is keeping his positon in the points.

11. (NR) #2 Rusty Wallace---AVG. 14.5
We have heard others talking about how Rusty nees to retire, and he might, but for right now, he is doing really good out there!

12. (NR) #48 Jimmie Johnson---AVG. 14.75
Despite crashing on the last lap quite a few times, he is still doing very well.

13. (NR) #31 Robby Gordon---AVG. 15.5
A lot of people have downsized Robby, including me at a few points, but he may be the sleeper this year.

14. (NR) #22 Ward Burton---AVG. 16
Well, my fave driver is 14th, but he doesn't show It in the points, he is coming back up there though...to the top 10.

15. (NR) #15 Michael Waltrip---AVG. 16.5
The 2001, and 2003 Daytona 500 winner is still doing good after many thought, he was only a Daytona driver.

16. (NR) #99 Jeff Burton---AVG. 16.75
Jeff started out the year, well, not so well, but now he and the team really show signs of improvement.

17. (NR) #38 Elliott Sadler---AVG. 17
Elliott was well on his way to being in the top 5 of this weeks hot&cold, when the wreck ocurred in the race, it sent him back.

18. (NR) #25 Joe Nemechek---AVG. 17.25
The winner at Richmond definetely needed, a good finish, and they did.

19. (NR) #16 Greg Biffle---AVG. 18.5
As you can see, Greg is the 1st rookie on my list, he has been the hottest of rookies the last 4 races!

20. (NR) #23 Kenny Wallace---AVG. 19.5
The Stacker 2 man, is showing he can do well with Bill Davis, but he needs a good top 5.

21. (NR) #43 John Andretti---AVG. 20.5
John Andretti, had to of liked that top 10 he got a few weeks ago, which is keeping him up here so far.

22. (NR) #32 Ricky Craven---AVG. 21
We all thought Ricky Craven, was atleast, a little improved this year, when he won at Darlington, and he was, and still is!

23. (NR) #77 Dave Blaney---AVG. 21.25
At the beginning of the year, when he was doing so great, we thought he might be a contendor, but things turned ugly...they will get it back though.

24. (NR) #42 Jamie McMurray---AVG. 23.5
Here is the 2nd rookie on the list, and probably the only real threat to Greg Biffle, we haven't seen everything from the 42 yet...

25. (NR) #74 Tony Raines---AVG. 23.75
The 15th and 16th place finishes he has had, has really boosted him up!

26. (NR) #49 Ken Schrader---AVG. 24.25
Ken is barely hanging in here, with a 10th place finish.

27. (NR) #45 Kyle Petty---AVG. 25.25
Kyle looked to be better at many points of the year, and has very much improved!

28. (NR) #88 Dale Jarrett---AVG. 26.25
Who would have seen Dale Jarrett so far down here?!?! He should he in the top 10.

29. (NR) #21 Ricky Rudd---AVG. 27.75
Ricky should have stayed with the 28 team, atleast they were a contendor for the championship.

30. (NR) #54 Todd Bodine---AVG. 28
Todd barely squeezed in here as well, he just hasn't really performed.

Drivers that didn't make the list ( IN NO ORDER ):
Johnny Benson
Jeremy Mayfield
Jack Sprague
Casey Mears
J. Keller/J. Nadeau
Mike Skinner
Ryan Newman ( Yes, the Rookie Of the Year! )
Jeff Green
Tony Stewart ( Yes, the 2002 Champion! )
Jimmy Spencer
Steve Park

Thanks for taking the time to do that Ward22. You are right about being surprised over Marlin being 3rd. It's a good thing though. If Stewart didn't even make the list at least Marlin's up there!

Good job Ward22, there are definatley some suprises on there. DJ and Tony Stewart being so far down really blows me away.

Nice work Ward22; but I'll tell ya one thing, I would put Ryan Newman in a car any day before Todd Bodine. Any way of factoring other peoples mistakes ? Tony Stewart cold too? WOW

Hey Ward? Are you going to include the Winston results in this ranking, even though it was a non-points race?I hope so,because it will move Kurt up a lot.

No I won't, sorry, but If Kurt can do good at Lowes this weekend coming up, he will move up! :)

Great idea. This really says a great deal about how drivers are currently running. It's easy to lose track of who's doing well and who's doing poorly right now b/c their names get lost in the point standings.
