How a classy driver handles adversity.

It may be classy, but i'd rather have a driver that WANTS to get in and and has some emotion about it...

You cant get any more emotional about winning and want to win any more than Gordon does and anyone that cant see that just dont like him so who cares. its their opinion.

I like a driver with emotion, I don't like a cry baby though. I've been a Jeff Gordon fan forever it seems like now and there's times I get mad for his lack of emotion. Kyle Busch is one hell of wheelman, not much on taking fault or accepting what happens as racing sometimes though.

Everyone handles things differently. Jeff's demeanor and Dale Carnegie training have served him extremely well over the years. But I am glad that there are drivers who are less composed because it's fun to see and discuss.

I feel the same thing with Kes. At least he's getting better at explaining his side of these racing incidents to the media. Other than wins, Watkins Glen was the first time I can remember Brad getting out of the car and showing real emotion, which was very cool IMO.

I agree to a point, If KyBu wasnt such an ass this boards boredom factor would increase by 30%.

ummm yeah, the video shows it...doesn't it?

Don't confuse his ability to be composed on camera with a lack of competitive fire. As someone who follows the 24 team very closely and listens to their scanner each week I can assure you that Jeff gets plenty fired up when things aren't going well.

How soon we forget. Or maybe were not around "back in the day." Jeff Gordon had his hissy fits as a young driver in NASCAR's premier series. At that time, his detractors labeled him a whiner (he was) so he quickly changed earning respect from his peers for his driving ability and extreme competitive spirit rather than his whiney attitude when things went wrong.

Kyle evidently feels he was wronged at WG and as of yesterday had not discussed the event with Brad who has been trying to clear the air. Much to his credit, neither has Kyle been a gunpowder mouth and it seems as if he realizes sometimes the best thing to say when upset is, nothing. Jeff learned it quickly, Kyle is finally getting the entire picture, and that is why JG is pleased.

I have no problem with how Kyle handled himself at WGI. If he needs to take baby steps to get to where Jeff is, so be it.

As far as the Brad thing, we'll know in the coming weeks if he's learned to stay away from intentional wrecking. I'm sure Kyle feels like he wants to go the Edwards route to payback I hope he chooses to handle it like the real pro's do.

When drivers say something stupid I chalk it up "to the heat of the moment" if I like the guy or "he's a jerk" if I don't like the guy.

After the race last weekend I thought it was cool that the 9 team and 2 team were congratulating each other. Brad gave an interview I wanted to hear and not just the usual thank the team/thank the sponsors/etc. I pretty much turn the TV off for the post race interviews because they seem scripted but last week after that last lap I wanted to hear more about it and I'm glad I watched the post race interviews.

Different strokes for different folks. If Gordon wants to run a talkathon after cup races, and even after performances that demonstrate he isn't among the top 12 in points then good for him.

Surely the intercourse and after glow of a connection with Gordon must mean a lot with the spiritual connection his fans feel for him. Yeah Jeff had a pathetic day, that knocked him back out the top tier, as if his one week experience is the new harsh real world.

But so what, he looked in the camera and spoke. It was communion as his word is seed, and now his people can feel his pain with him, they can be one. Oh be still my heart, the bond is just oh my god so good!!!

Hopefully Kyle will read this, and stop holding out for his fans, cause it more about be connected than performance.

But on the other hand class to some is all about performance. Gordons three other teammates will make the chase, yap or no yap I would rate their performance as being more classy, and more rewarding for the folks working on their particular teams.

It may serve Gordon well in the future, in about five years he could use those skills to be An American Idol judge or a Dancing with the Stars contestant

You sound like a friend of mine that out right hates Gordon...when in reality he has probably done more in his career than whoever you support could ever dream of, even if he would finish 43rd in every race he ran in from now on. So get your little barbs while you can...this time too will pass...

Nice to see the real Jeff come out of his shell...How if he had a car that could GO he wouldn't need to say things about his BETTER team mate

Do you have your keyboard set to automatically triple space everything as it spews out all of that hogwash.

Don't you mean Gordons time has past. BTW I have better things to do than Hate Gordon, just a little over the top fun. In 20 years or something we will probably laugh at how serious we were over a hobby.

Except for women having class is highly over rated. There are to many sleazy opportunities in life that must be experienced.

I see you got a "like" from the guy who walks around parking lots taking pics of womens asses . Now that's a sleazy opportunity .:)

You looked at those pics, so stop being so high and mighty and give Greg a well deserved like. ;)

Yes we probably will...but it is fun to take it seriously if you ask me lol....

How is this sleazy (scratching my head) ? Seems respectful to me, the women should thank him, and just keep on a strutting.

My wife made me look at her shoes. :D

I tried, but my computer wont let me 'like' that one. :D

Judging by the angle that those pics were taken I'm wondering if Matt is just short or his kid took the pics???

Very observant. Upskirtpics.com employes midgets to take pics at the best angle, so maybe Matt learned a new trick. ;)

If you're wondering how I know so much about that site, johali sent me a link. He said his wife made him do it.

In my experience Mexican Midgets are the most economical, and they claim to work harder than the other ones
