"How can a person make it this far in life being such a jerk?"

To Flip-off the guy you just wrecked takes real class. :(

Tony just lost his last couple of points in my book...

I'll root for the Bush boys anyday over Tony now...

yeah carl is THE nicest guy on nascar.

never seen a driver act like he does. calm and collected.

Tony is a complete idiot. If this were Jeff, there would be 50 threads calling for his head on a platter. Stewart is a bully on the track. All drivers get into one another every so often, but with him, it seems like every week. If everyone raced him like he races, he would be in the wall every week. Good driver, yes, bad attitude, yes. If I hear one more comparison to him and Earnhardt I am heading down to Home Depot to leave a deposit in aisle 20! The ONLY thing that they have in common is that they both drove a Chevy in Nascar.

all i can say is that tony ain't gaining more fans by doing the stuff he's been doing..or friends

I watched his post race interview along with Edwards', it seems to me that Tony thinks he is the King and no one can de-throne him. I like Tony for the most part, but after today i lost a lot of repect for the guy. YOU DON'T INTENTIONALY wreck another driver on the track, he also did this at Daytona trying to take out Kennseth down the back stretch entering turn 4. To me that is a blatant disrespect for anothers property, life, and a disprespect of the sport itelf. Carl Edwards has a right to be pissed, but spinning Tony out on pit road is no way to get back at him. The only way that Stewart could possibly get what he deserves would be for him to miss the Chase, that probably won't happen though. I'd like to see Home Depot leave the 20 car and follow another driver to Toyota, maybe then that would send a message. Tony should sit a race...no if, ands, or buts....sit him down ...no points or owner points.

I'd just like to see the video of Stewart practicing the "give" part of give & take he speaks of so freely. I've never seen him give a spot to anyone whether he's slower or not. Last week comes to mind.

Jeff Gordon drove just as rough and NASCAR approved of the actions BY not penalizing him even though he freely admitted to taking out Kenseth.

Things that make you go Hmmm

If I was Carl and had that huge axe to grind... I doubt Tony would make the chase this year! He (Tony) might just learn a valuable lesson from me (Carl) if he found, time after time, just what aggersive driving could be in the next few races.

Lets sit back and see what happens now....I do know if I was Carl it would be hard to stay off him the next few races! Carl still has a chance to make the chase so he has to be carful, if he was elimated I know I would put his a$$ into the wall! Bad thing is Tonys so good he would find a way to come back and get a top 10 finish! hehehe

Well we wil just have to spread the word on what Jerk Tony is. That shouldn't be too hard, i think most people feel Tony was in the wrong.

Nascar needs to suspend him a feiw races. The man is out of control

Mopard,

I agree Tony was wrong but what makes him anymore of a Jerk then Gordon or any other driver that has done the same thing?

Fun,

Since NASCAR has already showed they will never be consistant I do not see this happening and again why does he dserve to be parked anymore than Gordon did when he freely admitted tkaing out Kenseth? Gordon got NO penalty from NASCAR at all..Viola inconsistatncy!!!

Anyone with eyes can see it was a racing deal with Matt and Jeff.

He said he did not MIND what happaned. Hell iv said the same thing after a race, Me and a nother car got togather, my car pushed up, i hit him, did not mean to, i just went in to hard, and we bumped, well he fell back and i made the pass. RACING DEAL.

Also, anyone with eyes, can see Tony just turned down in to Clint.

Matt Kept going, but ran out of gas. Carl got the short end of da stick.

Everyone that has never been in a racecar with orther guys thanks its very easy, and that tv tells the whole story....but yet both are wrong....

I can see a lot of Sr in Tony.

I have never seen so much hypicritcal bs spew from ones mouth as Stewarts. He should have been a politician.

I could not stand Senior. Dale did have a soft side (off the track) that was not fake. However, I can't/won't say the same about Stewart.

Disclaimer: I disliked Senior long before 1999. :D

I do not know if it was disscussed last week, but during driver introductions at Loudon Tony called the interviewer, I'm not sure who it was, a fat___. They both staired at each other insilence for several seconds, then Stewart laughed and tried to play it off as a joke. Jr was fined 25 points for , in my opinion, saying somthing far less offensive. At the very least stewart should have recieved the same penalty.

Stewart always was, and probably always will be a real a-hole. As far as I'm concerned, if he'd leave, NASCAR would be far more pleasurable to watch. Hugging a child and giving foundation money (tax shelter) will not buy him fans.

Carl was interviewed a couple of hours after the race was over. He had plenty of time to calm down. He did throw out an explictive or two under that caution, didn't sound too calm to me.

I'm not saying this makes it right. But if all of this didn't happen, what would everyone be talking about today? Nothing, it was a boring race.

nascar: inconsistency

FCC: can care less cause it's on cable

That word is a word deemed acceptable by the FCC. The word Junior said is not, there's the difference.

It was driver intros and as Stewart was walking down the stairs, one of NBC guys - not sure who - ask what his biggest problem would be today(paraphrasing) and he responded by saying "getting past your fat body to get on the truck with Jimmy". It seemed to be prearranged as for the interview but the comment seemed off-the-cuff. Kind of in the way that Stewart makes fun of his own weight. However, the reporter didn't look overweight to me.

So, unless I'm thinking of a different incident, I didn't hear any words that would be considered offensive to any normal person except maybe for fat pit reporters.

At a dirt race Tony was racing in back in the spring, he was standing next to the fence watching some races, and this women came up and asked "do you mind signing this?" and tony said "do mind if i watch this race?" turned around and watched the race.

This was at Paducah.

Not sure why I think this but that is funny.

^ also is the meanest thing you could do to a fan.

^ heh dont worry about it...didn't really mean it..was supposed to come out as a joke..will edit.

If being an a**hole were Cheerios, Tony Stewart would be General Mills. This is only making Tony's reputation worse.

Obviously Mikey does not want to feel the wrath of Smoke. He said he pretty much saw nothing wrong with what Tony did on INC tonight.

ken and mikey are pals..what do you expect?

That's why I don't watch these shows anymore. Same with Spencer and Wallace. All nonsense.

He wasn't on the show. He was taking care of some business for his I-95 Speedway.

Maj, it's I-55 in Pelvy(sp), MO.

Him, Dale JR, and Bob Sargent also own Paducah International Raceway, in Paducah, KY.
