How Does NASCAR Expect To Sustain Interest In The Truck Series

What is that old saying.... abstinence makes the heart grow fonder. :D

I like the truck series. I think the drivers have more passion and drive harder than Cup.

Sorry Petty Blue, I misread your comment. You are right, one time in a month is not good scheduling.

I agree it is hard to follow in the early beginning, but being a far shorter season the schedule works out cause it misses out on some usually bad winter weather in the early parts of the season that the Cup and Busch side have to dodge.

The truck series is great. The racing is typically balls to the wall. During the summer months they usually have night racing on Friday and Sat nights on Speed. Also there is very little invasion from the Cup stars and Owners, so the Lesser knowns can race hard and make a name for theirselves. It's also a good harbour for out to the pasture racers who still have a heavy desire to race fast and win like Hornaday and Skinner, Musgrave and Benson.

I love to watch the occasional truck race or ARCA race, especially if there are some cup guys in it to spice things up.Gives me a chance to see some new faces coming up.See it every week? nah. It's great racing but I don't really have the time.

I would rather watch a truck race than a Cup race.

Think about what you said...Cup driver don't spice things up...they stink up the show. How the hell can you see how up and coming drivers are doing when the cup drivers get the attention:rolleyes:

I like to see the young guys run with the pros to see how they do.A yardstick so to speak. They like it too,at least they say they do.Some guys run up in Canada and think they are pretty good till they get down south and run with the big dogs.

You are right of course. From a pure racing standpoint you want all drivers in class racing together.Thats why they have classes. It was purely a personal observation. You often hear Busch or truck drivers say "I was best in class today" as they measure themselves against their peers.
