How long have you been a fan of NASCAR?

Just wondering how long you've been around this sport we so much love and write about. You can comment or just submit your answer in the poll. And the question states NASCAR, but as far as I'm concerned, you can answer for any type of motor racing.

I have been a NASCAR fan for 32 years. I saw my first race in Atlanta in 1975 and was hooked ever since. But I have been a racing fan longer than that, my uncle used to race locally and have been going since I came into this world over 39 years ago.

I have been going to races since before I got driver's license. I won't say how long that is but it has been many moons.

When the NHL had no season a couple of years ago I had nothing else to watch. I was hooked on the first lap of the bud shootout 2 years ago.

i was a fan for way over 20 years till nascar killed the sport, the last race I was at was BMS fall 2004. now i just read about it and shake my head in disgust and what brian and company have done

Grew up watching my Dad drag race at Sear's Point (Infineon) and then went to the first Cup race there. Didn't really get super into it until a few years back though.

I've been a Nascar fan for probably over 20 years. My father's a fan which is mostly why I'm a fan.

Saw my first Nascar race at Stafford Motor Speedway in 1966 when it was still dirt, i was four tears old. Love most kinds of racing, love to go to the local short tracks. I think the local racing is the best fun for the buck.

Attended first stock car race 1948 at Sorrento Speedway in Morristown, NJ.
I was twelve years old.

First NASCAR race, Old Bridge, NJ, 1958.

First Daytona 500, 1961.

Last Daytona 500, 1991.

Last NASCAR race, Martinsville, Oct. 2002.

Been a race fan for at least 55 years. My dad was a race fan and brought me to the local tracks in MA, RI and CT.

Whizzer, I think that makes you a wee bit older than me. LOL

Before I married him, the hubby got me into drag racing in the 60s. Late models on dirt in the 70s.

I've been a fan since I was old enough to realize what I was watching. I'm only 23 so that was just back in like 1990-ish or so. I was a Dale Earnhardt fan for some reason, don't remember why, but stuck with him and, subsequently, his son.

My nephew is 26. I have took him since he was about 3. I tried making him a Petty fan, but it didn't work out. He is and always has been a EARNHARDT FAN.

Been a fan since around 67 0r so. Growing up in Michigan it was tough getting any NASCR news.
