How long have you been a NASCAR fan?

To me, the question is how long have you been a fan of stock car racing. I was born the year NASCAR was started so I really can't say that I've been a fan of stock car racing or NASCAR all that long, but seriously, not long after that, I was introduced to the sport of stock car racing by my father. He at one time, co-owned an old Hudson Taraplane that they raced back in Oklahoma on the dirt. BTW, one of the drivers of my father's car was the grandfather of current NNC driver, Casey Mears, none other than Jimmy Mears. Anyway, though I was content to watching Joey Chitwood and his Dare Devils, I soon became a fan of racing. That was well over 50 years ago.

im 25 years old...so probably about 20 years haha.....pretty much as long as i can understand what they were doing on the track.

Well 5 years.. i never was able to see it and never took much note of it until it was on the networks

So NASCAR's move to take the broadcasting rights from ESPN and giving it to FOX and NBC was a plus for you!! :beerbang: Welcome to "our gang"!! :D

Practically for as long as I can remember. Mostly because my father's a fan as well.

I started going to ASA races and liked a kid with a huge red afro.........I've followed him all the way to his"last call". Many more years than I care to count.

Ever since I can remember, maybe 25 years, I'm 29 now. I remember watching Tim Richmond, Harry Gant and DW in the Mountain Dew car. I've been a fan for awhile.

wow i really admire you guys...long time fan..i like that.
anyways as for me i've only been a nascar fan since 2000 and i'm very proud of it :)

since 1998..DE (my hubby) got me started......wish I had discovered it sooner then that though.....LOVE IT.... :beerbang:

since the first televised Daytona 500! I can't remember what year that was , the old memory just ain't what it used to be.

Since about 1997. I actually went to practice for the Indy 500 and that got me interested in following racing. Then that summer I went to practice for the Brickyard and I was hooked. I still didn't really have a favorite driver. Then I got a job at UPS. Then Dale got a job at UPS. :D The rest is history!

I'm not really a NASCAR fan. I only watch when there's no wrestling on TV. :p

I was hatched in 1960, and my father was already involved in ARCA and in late models in Mich..So I guess as long as I can remember. I love the smell, excitment, crowds, cars and even some drivers.I've seen alot before the tvs came around, and never lost interest in the off season-For as long as I can remember watching my father building his cars in our garage in Mich.
