:bleh:aol

I was warned when I first got on the net 1 1/2 years ago by my baby sister..........NEVER GO THERE.

Now with the "merger" and investigations, NOT EVER EVEV LOOKING, and I feel bad for the poor souls who do have that sorry thing

HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AOL

msn here , hey my computer came with a year free on it! so why not try it

Had Compuserve years ago.......knew AOL was just like it so I never had it. I've had about 3 or 4 ISP's in the past and found Earthlink the best dial up and, so far, AT&T Broadband for cable.

Just use my local Dial Up. Ive heard some bad things about aol.

I'm in aolhell here. It's got it's good points and bad points. I mostly stay with it because of the community like features it has. I can't always think of a website to go to, but if I'm bored there's always something to do on aol. Besides, I've moved quite a bit and i've got alot of friends that are on it. It just makes it a lil easier to keep in touch with them. The two things I hate the most is their monthly fee and their web browser. I pay the fee but I use my internet explorer for surfing....

I had thought about comcast or verizon, but I'm not online enough to warrant paying $40 a month. The aol fee is bad enough for what little I use it anymore. However, that high speed connection is pretty awesome!!

Yes@Office,No@home. I use my cable at home,Roadrunner/TimeWarner.Doesn't Time Warner own AOL?

It is user friendly,I downloaded 7.0 version. Can't say it's been that bad so far.It seems pretty fast to me.

I use aol messenger, does that count?
:)

but we have AT&T broadband..and love it..............

Boy I had to open my big boobkisser today,I had all kinds of problems with it this afternoon,I won't have it much longer,I am getting broadband at my office next 2 weeks.:(

I've had AOL now for about 8 years (God, did I really just admit that?)......it has it's ups and downs, but I've met alot of interesting people over the years. The most annoying part about it is the Porn IM's and Porn mail, but you can block those out pretty easily nowadays. I have Verizon DSL though for my actual connection, I couldn't stand dial-up anymore. Whatever will I do when they go bankrupt after their investigations over? LoL..Guess I'll just have to live on this forum.

User friendly? Why is it that there is always special instructions for AOL users on web sites? Us "freelancers" can just click on a link without something special!:D I took AOL up on a free 750 hr trail once about 3 or 4 years ago just to see if they were as bad as everyone said.......they were!!:) They got a bargain with me......lasted about 24 hrs (if that)!!:D

I don't know what is going on today,But I have had all kinds of problems today,The computer Gods must be restless.

No $hit Wrangler,I have had a lot of problems with the forum today.Maybe Paul is twisting some Knobs,or something.I have never had this many problems.:(I am at home on Roadrunner,And still have Bugaboos:(

AOL - Another Online Loser.
I use a local dial-up myself.
To far out in the country for DSL and can't afford Cable.
It's AOL/Time Warner now and they are in trouble with the FTC for shady book keepimg practices. (like ENRON).
