Just curious what y'all think about the number of road courses there are during the season. Not mentioning any names :)D) but someone here seems to think it's all about the ovals and nothing else.

Two is enough, they add kind of a circus qaulity and are kind of entertaining sometimes but their not real NASCAR racing.

We have four restrictor plate races. If that's not a circus designed for entertainment, than I guess they should rename the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Aerobic Competition.

I bet there are plenty of NASCAR drivers that would disagree with that statement.

I voted for two only because the option for three only is not there. I think they should run the two that they currently do as well as another in the Chase. All of the type of tracks are run during the Chase other than a road course. That should change. I like the diversity that road courses bring to the season.

I think there should be one of each in the Chase itself. Short track, snoozer track, road course and medium tracks. Let's get a little of everything.

I would like to see a road race in the chase. If nothing else, move one of the two road races into the chase.

I have my reasons for this. See my sig.

5 or 6 would be nice. Dont give me the old Nascar isnt about road course racing these guys always claim to be 43 of the worlds best drivers so if they are they can prove so on a more diverse schuedual.

I voted 3-4, VaD but I'd like to add a caveat. If they leave the sked the way it currently is (Except put a road course in the playoff, IF they just have to have a playoff) the 2 is probably OK. However, If they could replace some of the cookie-cutter 1½- and 2-mile track dates, then I'd go with 5 or more. "3-4" was a compromise between the other two option.

I'd like to see three or four. And not axe other races, just make the season longer. I know that probably will never happen, but I can dream.

It used to be before the ringers, you would only have about 5 drivers who would run the best at the RC. Rudd, Wallace, Labonte, and Elliott to name a few. Now, it seems like atleast 10-15 regulars are battling with the ringers and beating them for the wins. I think the RC are very entertaining and would enjoy one of them joining the Chase. I like the idea of one of every variety of current tracks being added to the chase. Restrictor, flat track, short track ect.

Id rather Iowa got a Cup date before another road course.

I'd like both, Iowa and more road courses.

I'd like to see Phoenix, Loudon, Texas and Kansas lose a date... especially Texas. Texas is pretty much the main reason North Wilkesboro is gone.

It used to be before the ringers,

Speaking of ringers, I hate that. The 43 "best drivers in the world" should be able to drive in the RC races as well. Eliminate the ringers!

If I was a Cup driver that wasn't that good on RC tracks, guess what? I would do everything I could to get RC experience. Whether that means racing other RC series', or buying practice time at a track, whatever. I would think the team owner would demand it.

How do you eliminate the ringers, tell them they can't race? Franchise the drivers like the NFL so only the same 43 drivers race?

I'm not saying NASCAR should ban them, I'm saying ALL the teams should EXPECT their drivers to be SO GOOD at road courses that ringers are not needed. If I owned a CUP team and my driver sucked at road courses I would DEMAND he do anything necessary to get better at it. No different than any other track. If your driver sucks at Talladega wouldn't you do everything possible to help him improve at that track? Or should they just put in a "Talladega ringer?"

A lot of the drivers have taken the extra steps to get better at the RC tracks. It's 2 races a year that still pays the points, so I think a lot of owners have made their drivers learn it via driving schools.

I would be fine with any of those, but Pocono would be my first choice to lose a date to make room for a new track.

I know that's true, and I applaud it, but yet we still have ringers.

I'd like to see 3.5 road courses:D The way that works is you have California which by itself is the worst race on the circut, however it also has a road course, so, every odd numbered lap is on the oval, every even lap is on the roadcourse.:D
