Reading this week's NSSN, comlumnist Keith Waltz has an interesting idea. Not sure how well it would work, but it sure would seemingly shrink the Cup filed quite a bit...
Thoughts?
"There should be a statute of limitations on failing to win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Each driver should have have five years, or 180 races, to win a Cup race. If they don't, they drop back to the Nationwide Series where they must win before they become eligible for another Cup ride. This would force car owners to give more promising young drivers an opportunity instead of recycling the same mid-pack runners."
