I was 15 years old at the time..........living in pompano beach florida...I was in school and it came over the loud speaker that our president was assassinated........pretty bad news back then for a lot of people......

From hearing my elders responses, it sounds like when the space shuttle blew up. I was I think in 4th grade and our teacher came in crying. Then we saw the replay of it.
